We loved the area so much. Great place to stay. 13 min walk from ferry, 1 min to beach and 3 min walk to shops. Staff was kind and we especially enjoyed our Italian lessons with Danilo at breakfast. Wifi was spotty in our room

I'd like to give five ***** to the Hotel Rivamare. I am a solo traveler, I had a small size of room, it was very clean and quiet. At the breakfast room, the service was excellent! Close to the ocean that I went to walk on the sand beach in the morning and night. Short distance by walk to the port & bus stations. Near this hotel, there is nice coffee cafe, restaurants, mini market and a gift shops. I was so happy to choose the Hotel Rivamare.

When I booked on Expedia the hotel had amenities such as a pool and hot springs. When we arrived it was clear this hotel never had these features. Is there anything that prevents the property from editing their hotel listing after booking? Overall a nice hotel with terrific apartment Terrace right overlooking the beach. The place was good for a one and done experience, but I would not go back because of the omissions listed when we booked.

As a solo traveller I was glad to find affordable single person accommodation. However the single rooms are downstairs and there is no balcony, or view or even a proper window. It is possible to be outside but it’s a terrace walkway between buildings. I am sure the upstairs rooms are much better. Excellent breakfast tho the buffet is waiter controlled creating much comedic confusion. Breakfast is ok tho. No tea / coffee machine in room and I’d been used to that in my other rooms in Italy. AC slow but quiet and did work. Take mozi repellent and plug in as there were plenty about but by being prepared I had no issues. Beach accessible from hotel via a private access. Loungers are not part of the hotel. Reasonable prices. Good location to get around Ischia and the town is lovely. Lots of really good restaurants. Bed was NOT comfortable- needs a new mattress but it didn’t break me All in all it did what it needed to and gave me somewhere to wash and sleep and base myself from to enjoy the island at an affordable price.

Hotel in cui tornerei sicuramente per un altro soggiorno a Ischia. Raggiungibile a piedi dal porto in 15 minuti, lontano dal macello della via principale, fronte spiaggia (piú o meno a 5 metri di distanza da stabilimenti e spiaggia libera). Colazione ottima con scelta al buffet ma servizio al tavolo. Unica piccola pecca per qualcuno che dovesse essere particolarmente pretenzioso, camera piccolina e non tanto insonorizzata. Grazie anche al personale ottimo 👍

Generelt fint hotel med god beliggenhed. Dog noget gammelt og slidt på værelserne. Rengøringen var fin fordi der virkede rent. Dog en lille plet på lagnet. Bemærk vi fik et værelse i kælderen, badeværelset var nydeligt - sengen var nærmest blot en hård kasse, to madrasser som var sat sammen så over natten røg man ned i mellem, indgangen blev delt med de ansatte og folk som kom fra stranden. Da vi skulle ind om aftenen kunne vi ikke komme ind, da personalet ikke havde fortalt dørene var låst og indgangen var en efter. Får du et værelse i kælderen, deler du loft med restauranten som gør at fra køkkenet begynder at lave morgenmad er der utrolig meget larm. Ingen vinduer på værelset men en lille dør som ledte ud til en lettere beskidt baggård. Det meste af kælderen lugtede kraftigt af rengøringsmidler som om den anden lugt af jordslået skulle dækkes.

Ubicado a primera linea de mar, se puede observar desde la terraza cuando se desayuna. A 10-15 minutos de la estación de autobuses que circulan por toda la isla. Desayuno excelente, la fruta está en su punto, muy dulce. Todo está muy limpio. El personal es amable y colaborador. Únicamente comentar que las habitaciones de la planta baja dan a un patio comunitario con vistas a una paret con lo que encontramos a faltar una visibilidad que nos diese mayor espacio. La habitación que tomamos era la economica. Se puede optar de mejores condiciones a partir de un suplemento.

It was a nightmare. I booked this place for 3 nights. I was given basement room, air conditioning was not working and it was hard to breath there. After sleeping 2 hours i woke up with bites all over my body. The room was infested by mosquitoes. This was first time in my life that during my 50 years of travelling I would check out after one night stay. The man at front desk was surprised. I asked him to go to look the room. He didn’t go. His only interest was to charge me 3 nights. No apology.

We have stayed here before and loved it, but we came here in June, not the end of September. Before I book anything I always make sure that the air conditioning will be on, IT wasn't!!! Asked for a fan, got one, it didn't work for me or the desk manager when I took it down. Thankfully it was cooler that night and we left the inside doors open and outside doors that had screens on them closed, we were comfortable. Unfortunately, we had mosquitos that night and my wife's face had 13 bites on her face which made her look like she had the measles and I had only 8 on my forehead. Where did they come from, we don't know...point - if we had A/C it probably would not have happened. The breakfast bar wasn 't like before, not as many things to pick from etc.. Let me say, the first evening was great, we got to lounge at the beach for a few hours, had a Great lunch/early dinner at the restaurant on the beach by the hotel, it was really great! Unfortunately it rained for 2 days, we needed the rest anyway.

Location is perfect, right on the beach through a little gate and selected pizzeria and beach clubs offer discount when you mention being hotel's guest. Service is good and staff is very helpful. Our room, unfortunately, was not what we expected. We booked a parterre economy room which means ground floor (french word) but instead it was lower ground with only a small window high up which we couldn't open and an unpleasant smell of sewage coming from the small, crammed bathroom. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the furnitures old and smelly. Definitely need an update.

La posizione della struttura eccellente. Si trova al centro di via Roma e di fronte al mare. consiglio di organizzare qualcosa nel periodo di ferragosto e di modificare Il servizio colazione. Un hotel al centro della città, ma sopratutto sul mare non può servire la colazione, ma dovrebbe essere self service in terrazza, anche perché il costo per una notte è ben pagato . Questo darebbe un tocco di bellezza alla struttura.

God service og hyggelige ansatte. Hadde et enerom som var svært rent og positivt med kjøleskap på rommet. Litt slitt, men det er ofte tilfelle i Italia. Men ypperlig service. Flott beliggenhet rett ved stranda. Fantastisk service ved frokosten. Høflig og tok smittevern på alvor. Kommer gledelig tilbake til dette hotellet.

A basic, but nice hotel in the heart of the action in Ischia. About 15 minutes walk from the port, right by the beach and close to the main tourist street with all shops and restaurants. No real complaints here, other than it being a bit loud from the hallway into the room. It wasn't a massive problem until some guests came back at 2 AM and made a bit of a ruckus for 20 minutes. W booked a scooter through the hotel for an affordable price.

Får du et værelse i kælderen, deler du loft med restauranten som gør at fra køkkenet begynder at lave morgenmad er der utrolig meget larm. Ingen vinduer på værelset men en lille dør som ledte ud til en lettere beskidt baggård. Det meste af kælderen lugtede kraftigt af rengøringsmidler som om den anden lugt af jordslået skulle dækkes.

We loved the area so much. Great place to stay. 13 min walk from ferry, 1 min to beach and 3 min walk to shops. Staff was kind and we especially enjoyed our Italian lessons with Danilo at breakfast. Wifi was spotty in our room

Ubicado a primera linea de mar, se puede observar desde la terraza cuando se desayuna. A 10-15 minutos de la estación de autobuses que circulan por toda la isla. Desayuno excelente, la fruta está en su punto, muy dulce. Todo está muy limpio. El personal es amable y colaborador. Únicamente comentar que las habitaciones de la planta baja dan a un patio comunitario con vistas a una paret con lo que encontramos a faltar una visibilidad que nos diese mayor espacio. La habitación que tomamos era la economica. Se puede optar de mejores condiciones a partir de un suplemento.

It was a nightmare. I booked this place for 3 nights. I was given basement room, air conditioning was not working and it was hard to breath there. After sleeping 2 hours i woke up with bites all over my body. The room was infested by mosquitoes. This was first time in my life that during my 50 years of travelling I would check out after one night stay. The man at front desk was surprised. I asked him to go to look the room. He didn’t go. His only interest was to charge me 3 nights. No apology.

I'd like to give five ***** to the Hotel Rivamare. I am a solo traveler, I had a small size of room, it was very clean and quiet. At the breakfast room, the service was excellent! Close to the ocean that I went to walk on the sand beach in the morning and night. Short distance by walk to the port & bus stations. Near this hotel, there is nice coffee cafe, restaurants, mini market and a gift shops. I was so happy to choose the Hotel Rivamare.

We have stayed here before and loved it, but we came here in June, not the end of September. Before I book anything I always make sure that the air conditioning will be on, IT wasn't!!! Asked for a fan, got one, it didn't work for me or the desk manager when I took it down. Thankfully it was cooler that night and we left the inside doors open and outside doors that had screens on them closed, we were comfortable. Unfortunately, we had mosquitos that night and my wife's face had 13 bites on her face which made her look like she had the measles and I had only 8 on my forehead. Where did they come from, we don't know...point - if we had A/C it probably would not have happened. The breakfast bar wasn 't like before, not as many things to pick from etc.. Let me say, the first evening was great, we got to lounge at the beach for a few hours, had a Great lunch/early dinner at the restaurant on the beach by the hotel, it was really great! Unfortunately it rained for 2 days, we needed the rest anyway.

Location is perfect, right on the beach through a little gate and selected pizzeria and beach clubs offer discount when you mention being hotel's guest. Service is good and staff is very helpful. Our room, unfortunately, was not what we expected. We booked a parterre economy room which means ground floor (french word) but instead it was lower ground with only a small window high up which we couldn't open and an unpleasant smell of sewage coming from the small, crammed bathroom. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the furnitures old and smelly. Definitely need an update.

La posizione della struttura eccellente. Si trova al centro di via Roma e di fronte al mare. consiglio di organizzare qualcosa nel periodo di ferragosto e di modificare Il servizio colazione. Un hotel al centro della città, ma sopratutto sul mare non può servire la colazione, ma dovrebbe essere self service in terrazza, anche perché il costo per una notte è ben pagato . Questo darebbe un tocco di bellezza alla struttura.

God service og hyggelige ansatte. Hadde et enerom som var svært rent og positivt med kjøleskap på rommet. Litt slitt, men det er ofte tilfelle i Italia. Men ypperlig service. Flott beliggenhet rett ved stranda. Fantastisk service ved frokosten. Høflig og tok smittevern på alvor. Kommer gledelig tilbake til dette hotellet.

A basic, but nice hotel in the heart of the action in Ischia. About 15 minutes walk from the port, right by the beach and close to the main tourist street with all shops and restaurants. No real complaints here, other than it being a bit loud from the hallway into the room. It wasn't a massive problem until some guests came back at 2 AM and made a bit of a ruckus for 20 minutes. W booked a scooter through the hotel for an affordable price.
