I loved this hotel. It's very much off the beaten path, but if solitude and beautiful scenery is what you're looking for, it's perfect. The hiking in the area is terrific and there is a fabulous swimming lake within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was the friendliest I've ever experienced. I will definitely be back!

Wir haben ein sehr nettes Hotelteam kennengelernt, dass uns (inkl. unserem Vierbeiner) kulinarisch sehr verwöhnt hat. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einem Badesee mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Die Wanderungen können zwischen leicht und anspruchsvoll variiert werden und sind gut beschrieben.

If you have rented a car, this spot is very convenient to Casterotto & the main gondola lift to Compatsch in the Alpe di Siusi. Wonderful family run hotel, excellent cuisine, and 5 star service. A great value and a great stay.

The location is wonderful, in front of the small lake (Völser Weiher - Laghetto di Fié). You can start walking from there and you can reach very nice places both in sommer and in winter. Waldsee is a nice family-owned hotel, service people and owners were helpful with us. Breakfast was good.

L'hotel e' in una posizione eccellente ai piedi dello Sciliar ed affaccia sul laghetto di FIE. L'accoglienza e' stata ottima, il personale molto gentile e la cucina veramente squisita. La camera era silenziosa e ben tenuta. Uniche pecche sono la piscina con acqua un po' fredda e con illuminazione non ideale e l'area relax che e' comunicante e non schermata acusticamente dalla piscina dove nel pomeriggio c'erano molti bambini schiamazzanti. Infine a fine soggiorno abbiamo trovato un extra di 35€ a persona per il cenone di capodanno (senza alcuna bevanda) di cui non eravamo stati avvertiti ne in fase di prenotazione sul sito ne la sera stessa dell'evento.

Wir haben 5 wundervolle Tage verbracht. Wir empfehlen Halbpension wegen des excellenten 5 Gängemenüs. Die Lage ist herrlich direkt im Urlaubsgebiet am See nur 10 Minuten von der Bahn zur Seiser Alm. Das Schwimmbad ist sehr groß. Das Personal ist sehr liebenswürdig und und hilfsbereit.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel to attend a co-worker's wedding. Although the hotel was tough to get to, the hotel was an amazing mecca hidden in the heart of the Italian Alps. The staff quickly made us feel like we were family. The hotel room was clean and spacious with a great balcony that overlooked the mountains. The surrounding farmlands proved to be tough to navigate through on the country roads, but once we arrived to the hotel, the drive was COMPLETELY worth it. I would stay here a hundred more times. Loved it!

The sights and views are spectacular. The property is 8kms (or so) above the city and on the mountain. Across from us were snow covered mountains (Alps). The air was fresh. The property secluded. The views were beautiful. No crowds. This was perhaps one of the best finds in our vacation. Staff was very good and nice. Only negative- the room was not quite warm enough for us.

Great hotel for hiking the schlern-- the trail To the top begins right next to the hotel, at a higher elevation than Fie allo Sciliar;also the hotel provided a free shuttle to and from Bolzano (after I called ahead, they speak enough English) I went just after the high season (I think-- mid September) and the rate was very good, in particular, the add on to include breakfast and dinner was ridiculously well priced (dinner was 4 courses, plus cheese). The room was big and clean. The one caveat is that, without a car, it is pretty remote to anything else (there is one restaurant a little bit up the trail, but it is well above the nearest small town)

A bit hard to find, but a beautiful hotel/restaurant in an Italian national park across from The Schlern Peak and other Dolomite scenery. Excellent staff, new room with balcony, delicious multi-course dinner, lovely lake and many great trails. Wish we had had more time there.

The sights and views are spectacular. The property is 8kms (or so) above the city and on the mountain. Across from us were snow covered mountains (Alps). The air was fresh. The property secluded. The views were beautiful. No crowds. This was perhaps one of the best finds in our vacation. Staff was very good and nice. Only negative- the room was not quite warm enough for us.

Great hotel for hiking the schlern-- the trail To the top begins right next to the hotel, at a higher elevation than Fie allo Sciliar;also the hotel provided a free shuttle to and from Bolzano (after I called ahead, they speak enough English) I went just after the high season (I think-- mid September) and the rate was very good, in particular, the add on to include breakfast and dinner was ridiculously well priced (dinner was 4 courses, plus cheese). The room was big and clean. The one caveat is that, without a car, it is pretty remote to anything else (there is one restaurant a little bit up the trail, but it is well above the nearest small town)

Ottima posizione, strategica per chi desidera stare in un posto tranquillo ma comodo per fare escursioni. La struttura è bella, ben curata e molto pulita. I proprietari molto gentili e disponibili come tutto il personale. Il cibo è di ottima qualità, abbondante e ben presentato.
