Borneo Divers Mabul Resort

Brand new resort, very good conditions. Good breakfast and dinner. It would be good to provide WIFI and english channels in the rooms.

First of all, diving with them is great and the room is pretty good too! That's what the 2 stars are for... But then it stops. We didn't feel welcome as guests but more felt like a wallet where they want to get as much money out as possible! It started with the boat transfer. There is only one available at 12:30, our bus arrived at 13:30 so we said we won't be able to join their boat but will try to organize our own transportation. They tried to convince us that it's very difficult and we should rather take a private boat with them for 600 ringit. In the end it was very easy to get another boat with scuba junky which was even cheaper than the regular boat with Borneo divers. Second was the food. We booked a room with breakfast. For lunch they wanted to charge us 75 pp and day, for dinner even 100, which is just rediculus for the very small buffet you can get which is not even good. We then had our meals next door with scuba junky for a decent amount of money... For the boat back they also wanted to charge us 600 as there "are no other guests checking out that day"... We again went with scuba junky... We would not come again. The way they treat their guests is just a downer which is not necessary if you pay that much for you accommodation! And check out time is 09:30 which is not common too... Better go to scuba junky next door. They welcome you and are treating you as a guest!
