Blue Chairs Resort by the Sea - Adults Only

We stayed at Blue Chairs Resort for three nights, and overall, it was a mixed but memorable experience. The location is absolutely unbeatable—right on Playa Los Muertos with stunning views and easy access to the beach. It’s also steps away from the lively Zona Romántica, making it perfect for anyone looking to experience Puerto Vallarta’s LGBTQ+ nightlife and culture. The rooftop bar was definitely a highlight, with energetic shows, friendly staff, and beautiful sunset views.

The front end staff especially the women at the desk were amazing

I wanted to splurge with a two bedroom suite on the beach but got a filthy, noisy and overpriced experience. The state of the suite reminded me of a hostel with sparking power outlets, ripped up furniture, and I had to wear shoes even in the bathroom as everything was covered in grime that would stick to your socks or bare feet. There was construction at the next building that was about ten feet away from my room and the noise from it was constant and the fumes from the construction made the balcony unsuitable for breathing. The bellhop and masseur were both friendly but the front desk agents never really seemed to know what was going on at their own property. I would strongly suggest staying elsewhere if you want a suite or a view as I didn’t really find a way to enjoy the view or the ocean view.

My husband and I spent a week in PV at an all inclusive resort north of Zona Romantica. We decided on a whim to find someplace downtown so we could experience the food and shopping around the Malacon and Zona Romantica. My mistake because I searched “exceptional or very good” rating on Expedia and this was one of the properties that came up. I was in such a hurry i did not do my usual research on the properties, which is my bad. We checked into this hotel at around 4pm went up to the room and left within a half an hour. This was one of the most disgusting dirty, run-down and horribly smelly rooms I have ever stepped foot in. Expedia should be ashamed to even promote this property in any category. Buyer beware!

I’ve stayed here several times, but this is the first time they ripped me off. $1,500 fraudulent charges from the rooftop bar. I will never go back.

El hotel está limpio y los cuartos también. Los de la recepción soy muy amables y los de limpieza también. Están al pendiente de lo que uno necesita. La verdad me gustó. Los muchachos que atienden en la playa todos son muy amables y están al pendiente de lo que necesitas. En especial el mesero Ipolito muy buen servicio ! Es la primera vez que hago reservaciones en blue chairs y me encanto

El personal de limpieza que se compone de mujeres, en su totalidad muy amables y con una sonrisa; respecto al demás personal es lamentable que tengas que ser extranjero para que te atiendan y que sea el trato cordial y amable. Tuve que investigar por mis propios medios que tienen un restaurante en frente. Eres un objeto no visible ante el restaurante de enfrente y el que se encuentra en su piso ocho y hotel. Más lamentable de todo esto es que sucede en muchos lugares de esa área. Espero tengan mejores experiencias los nuevos visitantes... tal vez fui una excepción.

Loved the staff, especially restaurant manager. Hotel definitely needs major updating. All furniture with drawers or doors in need of repair or better yet replacement. We stayed 10 nights and could not properly unpack. Drawers in dressers would fall out or down. Same with end table. Not enough hangers. even after requesteing more. Bathroom was beautiful but vanity base also didn't close properly. No phones in room, which was unusual, but not really a problem, but definitely different. Would have liked coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in room. We were told not possible, even though we offered to pay more or upgrade type of room. Location is great, staff is great, but owners need to reinvest in hotels to get up to acceptable standards. If updates get made would definitely stay again. Loved PV and will definitely be back but probably not here unless I hear updates have been made. We are coming back in July and right now thinking of staying at condo property. Might go to Blue Chairs to have breakfast and play backgammon, but unlikely to stay here. It would probably take an investment of 500 dollars a room to make this an excellent hotel while right now it is merely fair. Please update your hotel to make it great instead of passable.

Unfortunately, the property seems outdated and run down. There was water at one point dripping from the ceiling light fixture outside my room door to the hallway. Staff is great but thebproperty needs a major overhaul to compete with similar properties.

Friendly staff, wonderful localtion

The property was rundown, but view and size of the room were great. And, the location was perfect. I would stay again. The maids were GREAT! Room was super clean, beds made, and everything tidy. Room needed kitchen stuff...a couple coffee mugs, glasses, plates, sharp knife. Thanks, Rick
