Calypso Hotel Cancun

Me gustó mucho, limpio y tranquilo.

Very old building. Had to sign out an iron but no board available. Walls are paper thin. The breakfast buffet is flavorless and the service dismal with the only person there standing there in his phone. No water pressure can’t open the bathroom door without smacking the toilet. so yeah…

A hospedagem ficou abaixo da expectativa. Chuveiro tinha uma boa pressão, mas a água começava quente, ia esfriando e depois não aquecia mais. O café da manhã era extremamente básico, então foi o que mais ficou faltando

El personal es servicial e informativo, el bar tiene muchas opciones al momento de ordenar

No hicieron un día el aseo no te dan ni aguas , el personal es pésimo no le a importa el turismo y un problema para facturar , poco mantenimiento

El servicio del personal desde rescepcion pésimo no hay playa , un problema para facturar no hay buen mantenimiento para el precio hay mejores por el mismo costo el personal pésimo

Terrible. We checked in for 3 nights. When we got to our room we booked another place and checked out. We ended up losing our money but it wasnt anywhere we could stay.. rooms are dated and feel very dirty.

La habitación del hotel estaba limpia, era bonita y espaciosa El desayuno ofrecía una gran variedad de comida. El personal fue amable y atento.

Falta de amabilidad por parte de los recepcionistas, muy indiferentes, habitaciones que requieren una reforma, se ven muy anticuadas y el baño no tiene mucha luz.

The room was clean and sufficient but definitely run down and could use some fixing up and repair. Sliding door did not lock and weather stripping was hanging down. No art on the walls, but lots of "patched" areas were noticeable. There is no closet for hanging clothes and no mirror in the room so only mirror is in the bathroom. Also, bathroom door is frosted glass that offers very little privacy. Shower was very nice and AC worked really well.

I didn’t like the people that work by the swimming pool

As instalações antigas mas tudo funcionando, fiquei num quarto que nao tinha frigobar nem secador de cabelo. Funcionaria do bar muito simpatica. Piscina e restaurante muito bom. Estacionamento facil

I’ve stayed here before a few times and in different rooms each visit. I’ve discovered that each stay was different based on the room. The hotel exterior looks good, well maintained and my other reviews were based on the other rooms. This time my room was basic and cheaper which really needed a renovation. Everything is outdated in that room. Also front desk staff poorly speak English (located in highly popular tourist area) I had to use translator to ask simple questions to give me a new garbage bag

La alberca, el restaurante y el bar parecen un hotel y las habitaciones otro. Se nota que están remodelando el hotel y les está quedando muy bonito. Pero por ahora las habitaciones dejan mucho que desear

They make you lay some additional taxes? So not sure how much accurate is Expedia information. The toilet had some leaks that they couldn’t fix neither offer an alternative solution. They have loud music at the bar/pool from 6am to 11pm, so if you’re staying by the pool, good luck! Poor information for tourists, they didn’t know or they didn’t care. The pool was nice, food, they have some buffet but it is not worth the price, you can get better food around the area for half the price, they have good drinks tho. I believe you can find better places for the same price or even better. I would say that the good thing is the location, across from the ferry that takes you to the Islas mujeres, the bus passes in front to visit other beaches, walking distance to one of the beaches (langosta).

Clean room. Helpful staff. Great pool with bar and restaurant. Only downside is you cant walk anywhere. No beach access anywhere close by.

En general es buena opción para cuando quieres un hotel económico, y si quieres ir a tours, excursiones, etc Su alberca es bonita El desayuno es buffet, es bueno, sabe rico Lo único malo, es que en la habitación que nos tocó, el foco del baño no funcionó, lo reportamos desde que llegamos y nunca nos solucionaron, era bastante tedioso estar usando la lámpara del teléfono 😢
