Resotel

Traveled during Sept 2021 and not many guest. The property was somewhat clean, but the breakfast was horrible. I was offered eggs and toast only - no other option. There was no coffee or tea in the room, but as I called reception to ask for some- was told to visit the cafe [which had closed and now was serving fast food]. The is no hotel shuttle to the airport - but they can arrange a taxi to collect you - which was 700MNZ - quite expensive and the reception woudl not assist with negotiations.

The sound quality from the TV was very poor, extremely poor. All other amenities were OK. Should inform visitors that restaurant is not part of hotel so when you eat meals in the evening, they cannot be put on your room charges.

Its very terrible hotel. Dirty and bad staff. I don't like it!

My first trip to the country and it was amazing and a wonderful trip ever, this was an experience of a lifetime one i will cherish for the rest of my life. My wife was on cloud nine when we get into the hotel. And im gonna make it my family hotel everytime im in the country and im gonna organize a couples retreat, family and friends vacation here.

Does not have proper restaurant, nothing available nearby also. Owner is Muslim and tries to impose his customs on the guests (no alcohol allowed strictly, no non-halal food allowed to bring inside). Breakfast is terrible. I had booking of deluxe big room but allotted standard small room, when I protested and showed the booking copy they changed the room. I felt this was unfair and they tried to pass on the smaller room to unsuspecting guests. Does not provide any toileteries (just 1 towel). Wifi was poor

Outside hotel - I felt very safe when walking around local area, even during early evening. Street vendors will badger you to buy their wares. Inside hotel - well maintained and common area & toilets clean. Staff - can communicate in broken English, very welcoming, helpful, friendly and proactive service. Breakfast - English style + fruit + cereals. Juice, tea & coffee. Loved the hustle and bustle of the uptown area which is away from the harbor and coastline. Probably beneficial to hire a vehicle to explore - minimal parking spots outside hotel + use car guards when parking, although no sign of petty crime. Tipping (small) is part of the culture. Aircon unit good but a little noisy. All other room facilities worked well. Room serviced daily. Beds comfortable - slept well.

I really enjoyed my stsy at the hotel,the staff are friendly and treated us with much respect.The only problem is the breakfast menu which they took 3 days to change but otherwise it was worth it

Det var ett bra hotell. Inte så många restauranter i närheten. Alkoholfritt på hotellet. Kompenseras med kylskåp.

We had a nice stay. Expected more help from the staff about parkingplacea nearby.

Resotel is a good medium priced hotel, centrally located in Maputo. It is placed in a convenient central location. I chose a double room and I liked it. It was reasonably wide, bright and clean. All the amenities like water, lights, air con, tv, fridge and electricity sockets worked fine. Breakfast and Wi-Fi were included in the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Maybe the price was slightly high for the quality of the hotel, but in Maputo you hardly can get better prices for the same quality.

I would like to recommend everyone who is looking for a hassle free staying.. The check in was smooth..the check out was smooth and stay was also smooth. The staffs of this hotels are highly disciplined and they give ear to your request at high priority. This hotel is alcohol free hotel.. so you cannot drink any kind of alcohol in the hotel premise...The sightseeing places are nearby within 15 - 20 minutes walk which i like it ..also very good for business appointments as all the concerned meetings were nearby this hotel.
