Certainement le meilleur hôtel dans lequel nous avons séjourné, tout est parfait et notamment la literie qui est exceptionnelle. Très bon emplacement par ailleurs. Seul petit couac : nous avons demandé un départ tardif que l’on nous a refusé catégoriquement alors qu’il y avait des suites juniors encore disponibles ; nous avons dû payer une nuit supplémentaire pour quelques heures passée dans la chambre plutôt que d’être à la rue avec une enfant de 7 ans pendant plusieurs heures ! Mais cela n’efface pas notre superbe séjour, c’est juste un manque de tact et de sens commercial de la part de l’accueil.

Sauna and pool are great. Hotel is cool. Breakfast is deluxe.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. The facilities are state of the art, especially the gym, spa, and the main restaurant. The only thing is I would not recommend staying in the room with the children's double beds. The plumbing is terrible and you can hear it whenever someone flushed the toilet. Other than that the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

+ fantastic hotel , great location , roof top bar great vibe - staff a bit stiff and need to be softer and flexible , listen to clients and focus , all clients are global travelers and maybe a bit fussy at times …..

Hotellet og de nærliggende spisemulighetene er bra, men litt for mye fokus på ekstra prising for ting man antar er inkludert i en hotellbooking til 5000 kr. F.eks er svømmebassenget og sauna ekstra, facemask på badet ekstra hvis man bruker den, osv… Det burde vært helt unødvendig.

I do recommend the hotel, which is very nice and well located. Unfortunately, I do not think the same about the main bar. On August 7 2025, my experience at the Ekspedisjonshallen Bar in Sommerro Oslo was deeply disappointing. When I questioned the bartender about apparent favoritism — as he continued serving drinks to select patrons while ignoring us in a bar that was still open — his response was not an explanation but mockery. With a smug, condescending smirk, he made us feel belittled and unwelcome, more like a schoolyard bully than a professional. The situation escalated when he called the host to ask us to leave, treating us as if we were a threat for simply asking a reasonable question. This blatant favoritism and public embarrassment ruined what could have been a pleasant evening. If being treated like an inconvenience is your idea of a good time, this bar won’t disappoint. Hats off to the bartender and the host — you’ve truly set a new low for hospitality. To be fair, the food and service at the hotel’s restaurant earlier that evening were excellent, and the issue was confined to the bar. I urge the management to address this unprofessional behavior through better staff training to ensure all guests are treated with respect. Until then, I cannot recommend the bar.

Sommer er et fantastisk hotell med gangavstand til det meste. Flotte rom med hyggelig betjening og ikke minst med gode restauranter.

Fantastisk frokost, flott beliggenhet, spennende arkitektur, nydelig restaurert, gøy bar, levende musikk, sjarmerende og sitte utenfor. Nydelig rom og en helt fantastisk seng, sov så godt 10 av 10 😁

Sommerro is a modern, well-designed five-star hotel in a convenient location — close to public transport and walking distance to the harbor. The hotel has good dining options, and the breakfast was excellent. A great choice for a comfortable stay in Oslo.

Beautiful hotel, but staff was not five-star and the extras for all the amenities was very disappointing. The pool was tiny and they booked eight people in for the same hour which left us sitting in uncomfortable chairs and not together. The staff at breakfast was not attentive or friendly and rushed us out. And the shades in the room where not blackout which led to light filtering in very early and disturbed our rest. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was awful. On the first day, we requested laundry service, and they simply refused to collect the clothes. Over two days passed with no response. We had to go ask in person, and the clothes were still dirty. No explanation, no solution. The air conditioning didn’t work, and even after reporting it several times, no one ever came to fix it. We had to sleep in a hot room for the entire stay. Also, it’s almost impossible to reach the front desk. They rarely answer the phone, and when they do, every request is met with a flat “no.” There’s zero willingness to assist. To make things worse, staff knocked on the door even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed, which is a complete lack of respect for guest privacy. Without a doubt, one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Poor service, unresponsive staff, and a total absence of basic hospitality. It doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars. I would not recommend this place to anyone

The loft room was perfect for me and my teenage son. We each had our own sleeping area and privacy when wanted as heavy curtains close around each king bed. The hotel was very clean and the bedding, towels, and slippers were top notch. We were able to walk to all of the sights from the hotel which was lovely. The sights we visited in walking distance include: the National Museum (also highly recommend), the Museum of Norwegian Culture (a bit of a walk, but worth it), a kayaking tour with Mad Goats, fjord cruses, and many waterfront shops and restaurants. Another highlight was the hotel breakfast! The menu options were all delicious. Also available were smoothies, fresh fruits, fresh bread, cheeses, cured meats, oats, chocolates, and macaroons among many other options! It was such a pleasant surprise on our trip and something I looked forward to each morning as we started our day. I highly recommend staying at Sommerro! I hope to one day return to Oslo and enjoy this hotel once again.

Would definitely stay again. This feels like an authentic restored deco hotel, but is actually converted offices. Opened as a hotel in 2022. The very slightly tired appearance is, I believe, deliberate. Modern equipment and amenities, but lacking USB sockets. Bed a bit soft for my preferences but wouldn’t stop me staying again.
