Discovery Island Resort

Discovery Island Resort was incredible. The property was so chilled and tranquil. The room, pool, restaurant and the grounds were lovely and spotlessly maintained. But most of all the management and staff were wonderful. Toni and her team were always courteous and efficient...and made us feel welcome the whole time. Can't wait to stay there again. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay. Warren

C’était chouette piscine propre et très agréable, bon dîner et ambiance super calme :) navette vers Coron Town jusqu’à tard dans la nuit et à partir de tôt le matin parfait pour être à coron sans être dans la ville. Mais par contre ne compter pas sur le fais de vous baigner dans la mer.

Les chambres sont assez vieillottes et ont sérieusement besoin d’être rénovées. Au niveau restauration juste moyen. En revanche ce qui est super c’est l’emplacement de l’hôtel qui est sur une petite île au large de Coron qui vous évite le bruit et l’agitation du centre-ville. Une petite navette organise tous les jours à la demande le transfert à Coron City. Attention pas d’eau chaude ni air conditionné.

Great location for a visit to Coron, we stayed for 7 days and enjoyed the whole stay. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful, I will stay here again when I return!

the staff are so accommodating. they treated us like family. it was gone away from home. Rizza the host is so warm n attentive to our needs. having Rambo, i consider him the dog host, is very comforting for me. kayaking around the mangroves just by the property was one of the activities i truly enjoyed. will definitely stay there again in the future.

1. kein Dive Center - das Dive Center wurde vor ca. einem Jahr geschlossen. Da wir explizit zum Tauchen nach Coron gereist sind, war das sehr ärgerlich 2. kein Strand - der angegebene Strand ist nicht vorhanden. 3. kein Warmwasser - die Cottages haben keine Warmwasserversorgung. Angesichts der aufgerufenen Preise ist das wirklich eine Frechheit. 4. Schmutzig und in schlechtem Zustand. Der Pool ist nur ca 120cm tief, aber so trüb und schmutzig, das man die eigenen Füße nicht sehen kann. Die Sonnenliegen sind total verdreckt. Allgemein lässt sich sagen, dass wir auf keinen Fall nochmal in dieses Hotel fahren. Das Personal war zwar freundlich und bemüht, das konnte uns aber nicht über den schlechten Zustand und die irreführenden wenn nicht sogar betrügerischen Angaben auf den verschiedenen Buchungsplattformen hinwegtrösten.

Discovery island being away from the main town of Coron itself was unique. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a bookshelf where you can take a book and leave one (exchanging), if you are a reader on vacation. The Town might have some expensive resaurants depending on where you go. There is an infinity pool which is amazing. You can walk the whole island in under 30 minutes. The food is served fresh upon asking and delicious from the only island Resaurant and bar on land. Overall, if you like being private and secluded, this is the spot for you.

Room we booked had no hot water, it didn’t say anywhere online that the room was cold water only. We wouldn’t of booked it if we knew we wouldn’t be able to have a hot shower for our whole stay. The price is too expensive for what it is, doesn’t include a hot shower or breakfast. There is a restaurant on site, food is nice but it’s expensive and the staff aren’t friendly and are so slow. Price of the room is way to high for what it is, old dated rooms that were dirty and full of bugs

Booked and paid for 6 days, stayed only 4 days. The island hopping trips was the best with this place. Everything else was not so good. The staff, the food, the rooms, the island. Not going back to this acc. We were 4 friends and everyone had the same experiance. The worst part was def the rooms and the cleaning of them.

No room make up despite request. Personnel always late with appointments.

The staff is very friendly, cheerful, and helpful. We commend them for their excellent service and pleasant disposition. We appreciated the boat rides and the crews that took us back and forth to Coron town. There is no air conditioning, no water pressure, and no hot water. The door locks need to be replaced. The toilet seat in our room C10 needs a screw. The metal shelves are rusting. The hotel is not recommended for handicapped people. The restaurant serves good food. Recommend complementary breakfasts every day.

The only disappointment we experienced was the room assign to us. We are senior and h as ve a back problem and the room assigned wS the highest cottage. Using stairs.

Peaceful and picturesque location, day tours were excellent!

Highly recommended if u want to stay away from the hussle & bustle of coron city,,,, relaxing & peaceful location

Island hopping tour from hotel isn't as cheap as those on the mainland. But the crew makes sure everyone is taken care off and having great fun

Terrible is an under statement. Staff was constantly lying. Told me their sim card burned up and that's why they failed to pick me and my fiancé up at the ferry. Went to their bar on coron proper, staff was clueless. After many many hours we got to the hotel...a total dump. Door handles were made from toilet paper holders, the steps had risers on them of about 18", I'm pretty fit and had trouble going up these steps. NO HOT WATER!!!!, It took the staff about 1 1/2 hours to get the water even running..."it's on" they kept telling me. Forget hot water you're not getting it. Lots of bugs inside the room, not just a few but many, many! Totally worn out beds, cupped in the middle. The fans were extremely noisy and were never cleaned, filled with dust and cobwebs. Filipinos are generally clean freaks and keep things tidy...this is run by some dude "Alan" and Englishman and it's dirty. He told me that they were the only dive center authorized to dive the wrecks...SERIOUSLY!!!!! I'm not kidding you. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! This place might have had it's day in the sun but, now is run down and dilapidated. Even the landscaping was withering and dying. Oh, had some drunk dude try to get into the room at 3am, he stopped when I told him he had the wrong room and better move on. Another thing, you had to jimmy the doors to get them to shut and lock, I don't think anything was plumb or level in this dive. I didn't dive with them based upon the first night. Terrible place!!

The resort is very good yet could be better with additional activities to do aside from staying in the swimming pool and/or drinking. Additional activities can be introduced and scheduled for the week such as karaoke nights, cooking lessons of local foods, special presentations by the staff, zumba or other dancing exercises, games for the kids like crafts, tie die shirt painting, face painting, These will encourage the guests to stay in the resort and not cross to town. Also, other delicious food choices in the town can be found at lesser prices than the resort.

No geral uma boa estadia, porem como estávamos hospedados em andar no nivel mais alto, o chuveiro nao tinha pressão suficiente para um bom banho. Tambem precisam melhorar/renovar toalhas.Hotel bom, mas simples. Quarto com vista muito linda...No mais, equipe eficiente e dedicada.
