Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort

Like I do every year, I spent a few days at a Marriott hotel somewhere in the world — wherever my business trips take me — to celebrate my birthday with friends or family. This year, I was excited for my first birthday stay at a Marriott property in the Philippines, and I even coordinated with the hotel staff beforehand. But sadly, unlike my past birthday stays, there was no special effort or gesture to make it memorable. It ended up being just a forgetable stay, with nothing that stood out. It was completely opposite experience to my stay at a Marriott property in Thailand the very next day — they completely exceeded my expectations, with birthday cake, decorations, and drinks waiting in my room, just like my amazing experience in Beijing last year. Honestly, I can’t help but compare it overseas and just but feel a bit disappointed that this how it goes in Sheraton in my own country. That said, I really appreciated the restaurant staff member during dinner — he was wonderful with my niece and made her so happy. That small moment was a bright spot in an otherwise forgettable stay.

Our stay was really relaxing, the staff were friendly and facility at the resort was excellent. We stayed in a Tower A room with ocean view, the view to the ocean and sunrise were beautiful. Shower and bathroom is great, but the air-con noise was really disruptive. We would switch it to low so it’s bearable but in the middle of the night it would switch back to high/auto and it’s very loud. I found myself waking up at 3am to switch it back to low. The bed style was soft, so that it’s comfy at first lay, but offer no support if you prefer firm bed. We tried the Saturday seafood dinner buffet but we enjoyed the weekend breakfast buffet cooking and offerings more than dinner. Also there’s more variety on weekend breakfast than weekday. Dip restaurant was excellent. Every single dishes we ordered treated and presented the ingredients really well. Highly recommend cocktails by the pool cave from Buhi. Grab transport can be difficult to get from the hotel but that ends up to be our preferred mode of transport as we paid almost 4 times more than actual fare to a taxi driver that the hotel ordered as he has ‘no change’. We wanted to stay thank you to the staff especially the weekend staff. We didn’t recognise any of the staff on our departure day so that was a bit sad. Overall we enjoyed Sheraton Mactan and would go back if we stay in the area again.

Sheraton was a luxurious stay, great views, good food. However, I was quite disappointed with the pool, which was tight. Granted Pool A was closed and being renovated at the time. However, from the looks of it, it’s also a bit small and limited in size. With the sprawling grounds. I expected Sheraton to have allocated more space to nice pools.

The staff were helpful and accommodating. It’s my third time staying at Sheraton Mactan and won’t be the last .

Nosa suite junior era impecavel mas a comida do restaurante principal é muito ruim. Nada tem tempero ou sal. O hotel é muito bem administrado mas o restaurante precisa de um chefe internacional. A comida nao tem gosto de nada.

The service is phenomenal, building is modern like high ceilings, I don't feel stuffy. Food is great . The beach is beautiful. Highly recommended.

The team was very accommodating and warm the minute the booking was finalized. It was smooth from checking in to checking out. This is my third stay at this location. I will definitely be back. Bravo! Sheraton Mactan Cebu!

Nice resort hotel. Not many other amenities in the area, so be prepared to take a taxi for off-resort meals and entertainment. Rooms are spacious and modern. Breakfast and other meals were excellent (range and quality). Pool is a little small, but you have the option of swimming in the sea. Hotel rents out snorkeling gear and overshoes. Staff attitude excellent: really good customer service.

Staff is UNMATCHED and superb. Hotel sits right on the beach with 2 pools. There are plenty of beach chairs by the pool and on the beach. We only walked on the beach because it was just too hot to sit out there. Breakfast buffet had everything, Asian and western. There are plenty of activities to do on the resort. We saw people snorkeling, doing yoga, playing volleyball, etc. They have 24-hrs room service, which was great because we checked into our hotel about 10pm so was able to order food also. Our room was spacious with partial ocean view, which I paid for full ocean view. We were in Tower C, the next building blocked out the right side of the ocean view. The rug and end of bed chair had stains and the rug had a "lift" that me and my husband constantly tripped over. It was annoying. The hotel is far from the city. We had to get a Grab to go outside the resort and get food. The hotel is very nice but the surrounding areas are not, which is beyond the hotel's control. This is also the first hotel that I have ever been in that has TSA xray machine with walk through metal detectors. Good to know that the staff cares about our safety. The whole city has tons of security. Would I stay here again? Yes I would.

This hotel was not only a beautiful property, but the customer service they went above and beyond. So what really sealed the deal for me was I had a very early early excursion, and when I checked in, I told her that because she was saying that I didn't get the breakfast and I said well, I won't be here to eat breakfast. She could've left it at that, but she asked me if I wanted breakfast to go deliver it to my hotel room so I could take it with me on my tour i said, wow, thank you so much. So at 3:15 in the morning, they delivered fresh, cooked breakfast of hash Browns. Eggs and bacon, which were very tasty pipin' hot. 2 things of yogurt, a few bottles of water and oranges, all for me to take with me so that I could have breakfast now. That's customer service, cuz. She could've just kept quiet and didn't even mention. That I could get a breakfast pack to go. So thank you. I will definitely be back.

Very relaxing. I really enjoyed the SPA treatment. Room was also perfect.

I slept in, fell the person that I was there needs more protective rugs, or carpets on the slick prices. There’s nowhere to have no marble looking tile and then it rains and it’s wet and then it’s slippery. Very slippery.

Great place!

So it was nice the beach was cool but there was mold on the curtains and literally mushrooms growing from the ceiling. They took a huge deposit yet acted like the Gestapo over a Pepsi chasing me down the hallway to sign like you know my room number. The buffet was expensive and not good The drinks were five times a normal sale price. Just don’t expect a American quality hotel

Lovely hotel with large beach area and 3 different pools facing the beach. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Bar areas beside the pool are nice but not the coolest as there aren't many fans and no air conditioning. The room was very large with a nice balcony facing the sea. The bed was very large and comfortable and the bathroom was very spcaciius with good room for clothes in the wardrobes and drawers. We ate at night in one of the bars at night which served fries, pizza, burgers etc. The food and service was good here also but a bit warm. The breakfast buffet was very large and varied with a food variety of food for different nationalities. There isnt much around the hotel to see, so it is somewhere to stay on site and enjoy the facilities.
