Sotogrande Hotel Baguio

New facility. Complete amenities both in rooms and facility.

This property has exceeded my expectation. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The place was very clean and spacious. The only comment I would add was the noise coming from the bar next door. Otherwise, I will definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel was clean, had good food, nice view and workers and was in a great location in Baguio.

New hotel in Bqguio, a must to check out! Affordable, spacious, with nice light vibes; good quality service, friendly smiling staff . Baguio is not as cold as it was before. Unlike the old classic hotel properties in the city, that dont have AC in the rooms, this hotel has AC installed in the rooms , that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The only thing downside maybe is the exterior design- make it more inviting… make the walkway better looking… additional nature touch to the front entrance will make it more”grande” looking as the name claims! Overall, Definitely will recommend

The bed was small and hard. The wifi terrible. Breakfast no coffee maschine!! Charge extra to have a Cappuccino. Overall very poor Building quality. Lobby and Restaurant is nice.

Friendly and helpful staff

Very comfortable, staff friendly and accommodating. Warm welcome on arrival. Housekeeping not checking shower/bath gel and tea and coffee unless requested.

I enjoyed my week at Sotogrande, staff was super helpful and very outgoing. The breakfast included in my stay was top notch, all of the food was delicious, kudos to the kitchen staff! The bartenders were very nice, and helpful with suggestions. My room was spacious and clean, I had a little bit of water leaking in the bathroom, but I called down to the front desk and someone was up in 2 minutes to look at it, and then fixed is super quick. The walls of the Sotogrande are a bit thin, there were some children staying on my floor and I could hear the crying in my room, but nothing my earplugs couldn't fix. All in all I would definitely stay here my next visit to Baguio.

Notice for guests of “happenings/activities” in the premises (i.e. schedule of live entertainment). Welcome drink would also be nice (to “wake up souls” of tired guests upon arrival)!

The place was well kept and had nice decorations. Lobby staff was pleasant and professional. Dinner staff was also good with great food selection. The breakfast staff were not as efficient as the evening. They were slow in there service- can’t keep up with dirty dishes, not giving water to customers, having customers wait until they cleared the table, the coffee urn was slow running so people were getting impatient, etc. Our room had black spots around the sink and tub. The WiFi was very reliable! The room host came late the first day but she was efficient. Parking was great but drop off area was quite congestion. Check out process was easy.

Not walkable to the center, no restaurant around nor convenient stores. New place tho

The tub was slippery I slipped and had bruised on my leg. The rooms are not clean even the toilet.

We had a great time in Baguio and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Friendly, courteous and professional staff. Hotel is nice however we had heating issues with our shower and close to non-existent Wifi or phone signal in our room (apparently their routers don’t work well with Apple products?). Breakfast buffet had many offerings however as delicious as they looked unfortunately it didn’t deliver in taste. Still a pleasant stay at Soto Grande though as their customer service made up for it.

The property employs outstanding staff. Moreover, the hotel is in close proximity to a number of tourist sites. However, several concerns arose, unaddressed by property management, during my visit. 1. The only entertainment available in guest rooms is YouTube (unless you have a pre-existing, paid streaming account such as Netflix that you have log-in privileges to). 2. Guest are permitted just one room key per room. You must have a room key to access the 2nd or higher floors. 3. WiFi service is furnished to guest rooms, however, it works unreliably and is quite slow. 4. The quality of food served at breakfast is similar to that provided in a budget motel in the United States. If you stay in the hotel multiple days, you can expect to experience the same or similar buffet menu daily. 5. The hotel is noisy during the day because there is construction occurring onsite. I wouldn’t stay at this property again. I had the impression that the hotel’s owner/management are frugal to the point of being cheap.

Ran out of toilet paper at 3am and had to call housekeeping. The staff cleaned my room in the afternoon and did not even provide extra toilet paper when the should have seen it was running low!

Newly open hotel

I was very disappointed. I travel all of the time for work -- multiple times a month -- and this is the worst experience I have had in a long time. First, they misrepresent the rooms. The Queen deluxe with a view and a separate bedroom does not have a separate bedroom. When I finally won that battle and got a room with a separate bedroom, the internet did not work and the water was just a drip in the shower. Next, they didn't clean my room after the first night. When I asked why, the guy at the desk told me that I needed to request it. The manager subsequently told me that was not true. The second day they changed my room and promised internet and water. There was no internet and the water was a bit better but freezing cold. Don't stay here.
