Casa da Estefânea

We stayed here because they offer laundry facility. The overall ambiance was lovely with great options for snacks and breakfast. Only thing I would mention is the hotel is not new, with older windows and some rust/mold. Room also smells bad, but you can air it out with open windows. Keep in mind this town/area is not modern, so I still give it 4 star in reverence to other facilities in the area and reasonable price.

Such a cute, friendly, well-maintained small hotel with a lot of really nice touches. And a fantastic breakfast to boot!

Staying here was absolutely fantastic! The whole place is beautiful and feels very cozy. A lot of love was put into the tasteful interior design. The room was perfect, very comfortable and equipped with a big TV and a Nespresso machine. It was very quiet as well. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh, high quality products and a lot of options. Douglas and his team are absolutely lovely and make every guest feel welcome. Don‘t miss out on this gem!

L'arrivee en autonomie s'est tres bien passée. La chambre est belle et pratique. La literie est tres confortable. Le petit déjeuner est un régal, avec de bons fruits, de delicieux galteaux et tout ce quil faut pour satisfaire les palais salés. Le personnel est charmant et serviable. Bref... un logement parfait pour decouvrir Sintra. Le seul petit hic: le voisin du dessus qui marchait très bruyamment.

Ruime schone kamer, stijlvol gerenoveerd en ingericht, vriendelijk personeel! Ze noemen het een “petit breakfast” maar het is eigenlijk best uitgebreid. Heel fijne ervaring!

Staffs are polite and nice. The living environment is clean and tidy. The hotel provide some kinds of drinks which are free. The breakfast has varieties of choices which are very fresh and delicious. It’s very good and an excellent hotel in Sintra.

We had the most special stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. The property is so clean and the attention to details are incredible. Douglas was more than helpful with any of our needs and a great help with dinner reservations as well as entrance tickets to the major attractions. I would highly recommend staying here and enjoying the hospitality.

Nice, nice, nice. Very accomodating and comfy. Beautiful, peaceful decorating. Would recommend in a heartbeat but must know only very limited public parking. Especially on weekend. Less stress if take a train from Lisbon and plan around that.

Everything about our experience was exceptional from the moment we arrived. We were warmly welcomed by Douglas, who went out of his way to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The room and the property were exactly as pictured: clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the complimentary drinks in the minibar and especially loved the view from our window, which overlooked a peaceful "Quinta" where sheep grazed each morning—an idyllic and memorable moment. Street parking nearby was easy to find and cheap (Rua José Antunes dos Santos.) Access to the building and room was seamless, with entry codes sent in advance via email. Communication through WhatsApp was also very efficient—any questions we had were quickly and clearly answered. Breakfast each morning was a highlight: freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade cakes, fruits, eggs, cold cuts, a full coffee bar. The small details really stood out: fresh flowers on the tables, replaced daily by Douglas, and soft fado music playing in the background, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Complimentary evening treats available until midnight! (Porto wine, small pastries, fruit, and beer) —perfect after a long day exploring Sintra. On our final night, when I casually mentioned the Porto wine had run out, Douglas generously gifted us a bottle as a parting gesture—a thoughtful and memorable way to end our stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We appreciated that they contacted us via WhatsApp which allowed for quick and fluid communication. Anything we needed there was a response in less than 5 minutes. They kindly sent a map of nearby free parking and we were able to secure a spot less than 2 minutes walking from the property. Check in was easy and the property absolutely precious! Our room was spacious, spotless and filled with amenities such as a mini bar with beer and juice and soda free of charge, hats to use during our stay, robes and slippers and plenty of hangers, which I find important. Bathroom was stocked as well. A special touch about this place is the lounge area they have downstairs with free snacks, coffee, tea, beer and the local favorite port wine to be enjoyed by guests in the afternoon till 12am. We were able to walk to dinner as well as the center is about 5 minutes walking from this place. All in all, would highly recommend!

When compared to similar properties, this property is overpriced for what it is and where it is. Parking was a major problem.

Casa da Estefanea was a highlight in our portuguese roadtrip and I cannot recommend it enough if you're into a quiet, top notch luxury and elevated B&B experience. - Before we arrived: Douglas, the general manager, reached out to us and shared the check-in details, parking area, sightseeing recommendations & booking links & dining recommendations as well as all the needed information to make our arrival smooth and hassle-free. - When we arrived: * We followed Douglas' instruction and were able to easily park the car a few meters from the house. * We were positively surprised by how beautiful and charming the property was, the decor, the ambiance, the cleanliness, everything was spot on! * Besides their complimentary breakfast which was very generous and tasty, they offered afternoon snacks (cookies and fruits) & port wine (à gogo), talk about generous hospitality! * As for our room, it was first set up with twin-beds, they were kind enough to offer to re-arrange the beds and bed covers to create a double-bed (at our convenience). The room was just magical, modern yet very warm and inviting. The bed was super comfortable worthy of a 5-star luxury hotel, the soft high-thread count linen smelled heavenly. The towels, bathrobes were soft and of very high quality. Our room had a mini fridge stacked with complimentary beverages, a Nespresso machine (and pods) and a kettle and a 50-inch smart TV! * The property had a laundry room & locker room. It had it all and much more!

This property way exceeded my expectations! From the welcome area, snacks, port wine & beer, breakfast! Our room had every detail, and was very comfortable! I would definitely recommend and go back!!
