Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha

Personal sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend.Klimaanlage zu kalt in den öffentlichen Einrichtungen eingestellt, Infekt damit vorprogrammiert. Sitzmöglichkeiten im Speisesaal nur begrenzt, Lärmpegel extrem, Essbesteck aus Alu und nur als Hauptgangvariante, keinerlei Vorspeisen - und Dessertbesteck, Kaffeelöffel schwer zu „organisieren „; Teesorten Minimum, Teller kalt, deshalb nach kurzer Zeit Speisen nur noch kalt zu genießen. Am Strand zu wenig Sonnenschutz im Verhältnis zur Anzahl der Liegen, 80% russisch sprechende Gäste, mit Mentalität die keinem 5 Sterne Hotel-Niveau entspricht. Deshalb Sterneniveau zwischen 3-4, nicht empfehlenswert!! Strand klein und liegt direkt an einer Marina, keinen weiten Blick auf das Meer! Schade !

Hotel itself was great - good pools and service. What let it down was the buffet restaurant - very chaotic and not enough seating. Food was good - but the environment didn’t match the standard of the rest of the hotel

Rixos is a family friendly hotel, we loved our stay, kids enjoyed the pool areas, and we were so close to all the main attractions in Doha. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Our stay at Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha was amazing from start to finish! The staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The room was spotless with a beautiful view, and we loved relaxing by the pool and on the private beach. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of variety, and the location made it easy to get to the Corniche and other attractions. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Doha!

Had a room with the only window in the hotel that had blown and could not see through it.

Staff were lovely and the facilities were perfect. Only little let down was the buffet breakfast and lunch were bland and was not worth the price. Also we went during Ramadan, my wife was pregnant and wanted to drink in the foyer area(which is allowed), however one of the security officer was very rude and told her not to drink, even though it was clear she was pregnant.

We stayed at Rixos for a week (May to June 2025) and it was great, the rooms were clean and the service was fantastic, especially from Manoj, Qaisar and Oye. I would highly recommend it for families and i would stay here again.

Loved everything about the property absolutely delightful

Second Stay This Year – Warm Staff & Beautiful Sea View This was my second visit to Rixos Gulf within the year, and once again, the warmth and friendliness of the staff made it a truly welcoming experience. The rooms are lovely — bright, clean, and beautifully designed — and the sea view is always a treat to wake up to. A big shoutout to the team outside who are consistently helpful, always smiling, and quick to open doors and assist with Ubers — their attentiveness really stands out. A few things to note for improvement: • I was surprised to see that the pool near the beach, which was previously adults-only, now includes children. While I completely understand the importance of family spaces, it did make it harder to fully relax at times. Since there are two pools, it might be worth considering keeping one dedicated to adults for a more balanced experience. • Our room was cleaned daily during our stay, but on the day before checkout, we returned to find it hadn’t been done. We asked and it was sorted quickly, but it felt a little out of step with the otherwise consistent service. Not a huge issue, just a detail that stood out. Lastly, while the food was enjoyable — especially at breakfast — it would be a nice touch to have themed dinner nights for more variety across the week. Overall, still a great experience. The genuine kindness of the staff and the setting by the sea make it a memorable place to stay.

Hotel is only a ten minute taxi ride from the airport. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. We had a sea view room which was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of sunbeds, staff removed towels that had been left there without occupancy. The buffet restaurant was good, if a touch busy at times but the best was the steak restaurant. Not only was the food top quality but it is also a nice quiet place to have pre or post dinner drinks. The staff at the outdoor bar were good as were the staff at the snack bar. The city is accessible by uber or taxi. Overall a really pleasant stay.

My stay was not as relaxing as hoped-very loud music is played until approximately 11pm, this might be quieter on the non-sea view side though. Finding a table for lunch each day was challenging and took 10-15 mins, the restaurant is not large enough and the layout means you constantly bump into people. The staff were lovely though!
