Best Western Kings Manor Hotel

Große, bequeme Betten & allgemein große Zimmer. Diese sind allerdings schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen & sollten mal renoviert werden. Der Geruch im Badezimmer war etwas unangenehm.

Stayed two nights in a family room with our grandson. Very comfortable large bedroom with Queen sized bed and separate single bed. Bathroom was clean with good quality shower over the bath. He enjoyed the Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The Breakfast was excellent and the in-house restaurant was perfect for coffees and drinks in the afternoon and for evening meals. Bus stop into Edinburgh was 50 yards down the road with buses at a regular 10 minute interval and the return bus stop right across the road. Easy 30 minute bus ride into the City Centre. Easy drive to the beach only 10 minutes away in Musselborough. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is pet-friendly but very clean with no pet smell. The room was more spacious than many compact hotels, though the restaurant only serves breakfast.

This is a comfortable hotel, we stayed only one night while we were on a 5000 mile round trip across the UK and Europe. There are only a few niggles: loose floorboards in the public areas, some carpets need replacing, but other than that it was a good stay

No batteries in tv remote so couldnt watch tv in the morning. water tap came off in sink. wall rack on steps came loose and nearly fell on steps. not great considering what we paid felt ripped offf to be honest

The staff was outstanding! Especially Ramesh! Excellent service. Would highly recommend! The Best, Best Western Hotel!

Had four rooms here. One was not properly cleaned prior to letting us in. A second had a maintenance issue that was reported and not dealt with for a couple of hours. Location is right on a bus line, and staff were very helpful.

I had high hopes for this hotel after reading the reviews. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. We arrived to a very lacklusture welcome, no real hospitality shown. Our room was fine, but it was disappointing to see how many holes/rips were in our duvet cover. The bed in fairness though was extremely comfortable. On day 3 of our 5 day stay, i put the sign on the door for our room to be serviced. When we returned, there was still a large area of the floor covered in crumbs, which clearly had not been hoovered. Towels which had been left on the floor to be replaced, had been hung back on the rack. On Day 4, I again put out the sign for our room to be serviced. When we returned after 5pm, no one had been in. Certain staff said hello or acknowledged us, but a lot of others didn't even raise their heads as were were coming and going. We ate in the restaurant a lot and there was one nice, friendly guy there, i think he was Eastern European. The fitness centre and pool was a nice addition which my little boy loved. The guy on the front desk there was friendly too. The hotel has potential, it's a lovely old style building in a nice area, not too far from the city. But it needs some more hospitable staff and better cleaning standards.

We were extremely disappointed with our one-night stay at Best Western. The Wi-Fi was terrible, did not work for more than 1 minute, which was a major inconvenience. The room itself was very hot and felt extremely cramped and congested. For the price we paid for just one night, the value was simply not there. We expected better standards from a brand like Best Western. Definitely not worth the money at all.

Hotel has all areas covered with the pool etc, also 2 different eateries makes the choice more

In this day and age, there was no wifi in our room. And when we asked why we got the lame excuses that oh it’s because of your phone carrier or your phone. Restart your phone and you will get it. But then why didn’t the laptop have WiFi. Again was informed that oh we are rebooting our system and you’ll get it, but nothing. It’s a run down facility not worthy of even being on Expedia period

The Hotel was chosen for its access to Free Parking, Leisure Services and Location. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the Leisure Services. Location was adequate for our needs during our 3 night stay. Close to both Portobello Beach and the City Centre with easy access to both through the bus routes. The Free Car parking is no longer Free! However we pre-paid before this came into action so wasn't an issue for us. The room was comfortable but we never had it serviced or refreshed during our stay (but then we never asked). The breakfast Buffett was great also pre-paid and for the price it's an easy YES! Found the staff friendly and happy to help (except one girl on reception who most definitely did not want to be there, maybe a bad week who knows). Overall I would stay again no problems.

Very spacious room

Very conveniently located (around 20 min drive from the main historic attractions) and spacious rooms. The swimming pool with the spa bath was excellent!

Zimmer war zu warm, leider kaum Möglichkeiten zu lüften. Teppiche auf den Wegen waren nicht sauber. Lüftung im Bad sehr laut. Duschvorhang sollte durch Duschwand ersetzt werden, da hygienischer.
