Mercure Livingston Hotel

The staff really make this place. We stayed 3 nights. The breakfast and dinners were good. Room was quiet and comfortable. Only issue was the stairs, no lift. But overall really good stay.

Little bit run down but ok for what it was

Just back from a lovely girls weekend away, Lovely hotel, rooms clean and spacious beds very comfortable, all hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and a variety for all. Short walk away from Livingston mall so didn’t need car. Will definitely be back

Welcome gift room large and adequate

There's no lift to the first floor. So ensure you are downstairs if you have poor mobility. Room was very clean and comfy but dated. room was spacious.

Loved staying here, so convenient for the shopping outlets. Had a lovely 3 course meal in tge hotel restaurant. Waiter was lovely. Sat at a cosy fire at night. Will return.

Basic, but suitable for kour particular stay.

Old fashioned dated building, food is terrible. Paid £17.50 for a microwaved ‘steak pie’ that had no meat in and was just gravy and pastry.

Only thing that was not good for me was the heat in room, when we checked in the thermostart was on full in our room, we had to open the windows to try get it to cool down and by time we went to bed was still roasting, we stayed the 2 nights and the 2cd night the room was more comfortable for us to sleep in.

I like every thing about this hotel do not take my word for it come and stay.

The Hotel is located in a business park. It has easy access to the shops( Designer Outlet, Asda and restaurant). The check in process was easy and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a bar, and a restaurant. Even though, I didn't use the facility, it was busy with hotel guests. The rooms in the hotel was good and spacious. This is not a hotel in not in the city central but reasonably priced and not to miss it. I will recommend the hotel , driving to Stirling castle and Edinburgh is workable from the hotel.

1. Arrived at 21:35 and checked in, was told food orders in restaurant closes in 5 mins so I immediately dropped bags and was at the restaurant to be told it was closed. I challenged this and was then able to order. 2. £17 for that burger and chips was not worth the money or wait. 9 chips and what was an average burger meat, ok sauce but minimal salad and cheese made it not worth the money. 3. Whilst still chewing the last bite, was asked to settle up teh bill as they wanted to close up the till, although i was sat in the bar and was told it was 24 hour. Felt like I had to leave. 4. The hotel is grotty and walking to the rooms shows the corridors are poorly maintained, every door has marks all over them. 5. Dirty toilet 6. Dirty leaky Iron (that had to be requested) 7. Asked if they had a take away cup for a coffee in the morning, quite basic for most hotels I visit, but this is not something they had or did. Not saying there are not worse hotels than this, but those hotels would not charge anywhere near what I paid per night.

Comfortable, location is fantastic for main shopping area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Grandchildren loved it

Lady at front desk very friendly and helpful to us. Got ironong board and iron no bother. Got free pint for joining hotel app. Lovely roaring fire going in. All downstairs and easy to navigate. Rooms basic but big and good prices. We slept really well.
