Great place to stay

Had a great stay. Service was good, restaurant meals tasty, breakfast buffet a terrific spread. Room was clean and comfortable. Aircon worked well, and wifi was fine. Grounds are good for a little birding, with several common island endemics.

Music all night long … impossible to sleep. Noisy air conditioning and room was to hot.

goede zwembad en breakfast. The bedden zijn hard, en de prijs is te hoog voor de kwaliteit van de kamer.

L'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel, La grande piscine bien entretenue, la proximité de la plage sympa pour tout ke monde, le petit dej excellent.... Tout tout bien.

ontwijt erg goed, wifi werkt niet de kamer onder tapij en bed vol met stof . De matrassen zijn hard.

Nice place but very weak internet access and facilities for room service. The staff at least those at the front desk an the restaurant need to speak/understand either French or English

Tout d’abord le personnel de l’hôtel était formidable. Ils font tout pour vous plaire surtout L’exceptionnelle Andrea qui travaille à la réception et qui a organisé mes excursions à l’avance. Ne pas manquer de faire un massage avec Aldina, l’unique est excellente masseuse à l’hôtel. Tout le monde est gentil. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Beaucoup de variétés et de choix. La nourriture au bar et au restaurant est excellente. Une chose est certaine, vous ne tomberez jamais malade. Je recommande cette hôtel sana hésitation. Il est à 5 minutes à pieds de l’aéroport avec une plage en face.

I spent one month in Sao Tome e Principe and stayed several times in Praia Accomodation, which is part of Hotel Praia (thanks for storing my luggage for free!). I liked this place as it is quiet and has a big swimming pool (salty water) and a great breakfast (big buffet). WI-Fi is not always working. It is a bit far from the city (ca. 3km) but you can take a mototaxi for 20 Dobras. Some staff is very nice, like Mr Edger who answered all my questions about carnival, Thanks! Unfortunately I had a very bad experience when checking in and out my last time with Mr Wander: he was very rude and insisted I had to pay right away (but I had already payed by credit card), then he gave me the key for a bungalow which I didn’t book and didn’t want, saying I HAD to stay there as there was no other free room (it was really far, I had to walk all the way there and back with the heavy luggage and was offered no help, my suitcase broke because of the pebble stones!). As I refused to sleep there and said I would search another hotel, a colleague finally managed to find a better room for me! It took over one hour to solve the problem, so I missed my dinner at CACAU at 19:30pm and was really angry. The following day Mr Edger apologized and offered me a free late check-out. Unfortunately when checking-out Mr Wander was at the reception again, he wanted me to check-out earlier and said nasty things to me! Me, my driver and the other guests were shocked from this treatment, not sure I'll return!

Bara euro kontanter. Visa/Master funkar ej. Inte ens ta ut från bank. Växla till lokalt- på gatan eller som växel på affär. Växla på bank-stor avgift. Euro kan tas ut enklast via western union, om online- tjänst funkar. Betalalsen helst innan resan, via nätet. Unitel simkort finns köpa i receptionen. Annars wi-fi om du är nära reception/ restaurang. Mat och myggskydd funkar bra. Kolla att"stör ej" skyllt finns. Annars blir ni utkörda från rummet tidigt, för städning. Även vid online check-in, för tillbaka-resan- var på flyget minst 3 timmar innan. Andra rutiner. Malaria/koleravaccinen behövs egentligen inte. Däremot gula febern-kortet. El- och uttag samma som i Sverige.

The receptionist / manager Madam Andrea is super helpful to arrange /negotiate tuk tuk tours for me. She seems to be the only person who speaks fluent English. Breakfast buffet has good variety. I stayed in the budget room where wifi was poor. The pool is huge and great for swimming laps! Free airport transfer provided.
