Philstay Myeongdong Metro

ホテルの近くにショッピング、飲食店が沢山あって便利だった。 安いホテルを選んだから仕方ないかもしれないが、窓がない部屋だったからか天井がカビなのか汚れていた。 壁も湿気でなのか剥がれてる部分があった。 暖房がエアコンではなくヒーターみたいなので使いにくかった。 タオルの交換が2日に一回で2日分まとめて置いてあった。 ルームキーが一つしか渡してもらえなかった。 スーツケースの重さをはかる物がなかったので空港ではかるしかなく不便だった。

Room was very private and clean. Stayed here for 5 nights, check in and checkout process was very easy. Location is very good in central Myeongdong, metro station is a few minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend for solo travellers staying in Seoul.

I picked the hotel because we love the location but it didn't offer the basic things like bathing towels. The room is small, the beds are hard, and they only provided hand towels for use. Make sure to bring your own bathing towels if you plan on staying there.

Expectations, it is all about your expectations. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not the place. If you are simply looking for a place to sleep, not expecting to spend any time in your room, this is perfect. The location is a bit off the beaten path, a little difficult to find, but extremely close to most tour pickup locations, and right in the middle of Myeongdong shopping. I admit, I booked thinking it was a hotel, but the sign specifically states Hostel. I was fine with the small space and lack of counterspace, but was surprised that the bathroom consisted of only a toilet and sink, no shower. (A wet bath I believe it is called.). This took some getting used to. The room was cleaned regularly by very pleasant staff, but the concierge was seldom seen. (Wanting to speak to someone for advice was one of the reasons I chose this place, but no one was available to speak to.) For the price I paid, I was disappointed, but I realized it was really all about expectations. If you don't need much assistance, just a place for your belongings and a place to sleep, Philstay will work.

Very expensive hotel for what they offer. The cheapest room is very small, practically only fits the bed and a suitcase. They mention this to you when you arrive and offer you an upgrade that you end up paying for because there are no refunds. I stayed in the same area in a more "expensive" hotel and ended up paying the same. They don't clean until after 2 days, there is no window to the outside, the bed is like a rock, the bathroom is very small, the shower is over the toilet.

The reviews and pictures are over rated. The carpet is dirty, the air conditioned didn’t work on our first night. The room is so small, it so uncomfortable for us. The location is great.

Very nice staff. Safe and things were clean. It's in the and building as a cat cafe. Good food chooses for morning time. Convenient location.

キャリーケースを開けれないくらい狭く、シャワールームもトイレの隣にありトイレは濡れます。ただ、立地と清潔感、値段考慮すると良かったと思います。

The hotel is very cute and comfortable. It is highly recommended if you want a peaceful place for resting after having a hard walking day.

Afterall, this is in a convenient location. You get what you pay for.

I was surprised that there was only a showerhead next to the toilet, rather inconvenient. I was also unaware that you could not throw toilet paper into the toilet, but that was not unusual, it seems.

Please do not book this place if you want a safe, comfortable trip. The building is located at the end of a deserted alleyway in Myeongdong. The entrance is open to the public and this part of the street is poorly lit at night. My booking was for 4 nights and the front desk staff were seldom present for assistance. The heating system did not work during my stay so I was given a portable heater which helped only a little. There are many other alternatives in this area, so I would recommend staying away from Philstay Myeongdong Metro.

We loved it here. Our flight was canceled and the hotel was super responsive when I messaged them and asked if we could shift our visit ahead 1 day. We came with our 11 year old. Clean, comfortable, and a lot of details that really made it great. Refrigerator in room, small common kitchen area, a scale so you can weigh your luggage before you leave to make sure you’re not over the airline limit. There is even a place to store your luggage after checkout if your flight doesn’t leave until the evening. Beds are firm, sheets and comforter are comfortable. Shower is easy to operate. We were out exploring the city all day and it was a great place to crash at night and eat breakfast in the morning before taking off. We’ll be back!

アクセスがとてもよい！清潔で過ごしやすかったです。

明洞駅8番出口から徒歩5分なので便利ですが、雑居ビル内の5階なので、とても見つけにくいです。事前にマップでしっかり場所を確認しておいた方が良いです。周囲にコンビニが無いため、アルコールを買えませんでした。お菓子やジュースなら売ってるところあります。また、お一人様はカフェ以外断られました。ルーム内に椅子が無く座れるのはベッドだけです。トイレ流せません。トイレとシャワーの仕切りカーテンが無いので便座他全てが濡れます。ドライヤーはあります。プラグは持参必要。パジャマと歯ブラシは、無いです。入室時カビ臭いですが、すぐに慣れました。寝るだけなら、安くて駅に近いので、良いかと思います。チェックイン最終時間から朝の9時前までフロント不在のようです。カードキーをフロントデスク上のケースに入れて、退室するように指示されました。

Our stay at Philstay Myeongdong Metro was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but cozy and exactly what we needed, a bed and shower. Philstay is right in the middle of the Myeongdong shopping district and also near two subway lines (line 2 and line 4) both short walks from Philstay. As a former resident and frequent traveler to Seoul I picked Philstay based on it's location and ease of access to other districts. These rooms may not be for everyone as they are quite small. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay both consisted of a bed with firm mattress, nightstand, tv, and shower. If you like large spacious rooms with big bathrooms, this is not the hotel for you. However, if you just need a place to sleep and shower this place is perfect.
