We were not told that the Hipocampus has no reception desk. We were locked out of the entire grounds. Luckily, we bumped into people who had stayed there before and showed us an office to get the keys. It was closed for Sunday. When we rang the office number on the door & the Hipocampus itself, all we got was a recorded message in fast Spanish. Eventually we met people who knew where the 7-day office was, but it's in the grounds of another hotel and not visible from the road. We got the key OK and the flat was lovely. It's IMPERATIVE that people are told how to get the key. We'd been wandering around for over an hour in the beginnings of Storm Gloria, getting very cold and wet and looking for a way in. Tip: there were only stockpots to cook in. Another holiday maker told us on the last day that frying pans are hidden in the oven. I nearly bought one as cooking meals in two stockpots is very limiting. Overall: the apartment was lovely; spacious and well-equipped (apart from the missing pans). BUT the lack of a reception - and lack of information on the gate as to how we could obtain the keys was dire.

The property is in a great location right on the beach so that was a big thumbs up, the outdoor areas of the complex were well maintained and clean. The apartment itself is in desperate need of some improvements, the kitchen cabinets are in a very poor condition including damaged hinges. The bed was very uncomfortable and as such we ended up sleeping separately, one on the sofa in the lounge and the other in the bed. Overall though we had a nice holiday but the maintenance issues, some of which would be easy fixes it would have improved our experience.

Diese Bewertung bezieht sich auf eine Reise mit Kindern in den Weihnachtsferien. Der Komplex hat ein kleines Hallenbad, daher bei Komfort eine gute Bewertung. Ansonsten war das Apartment eher spartanisch ausgestattet und auch nicht mehr im besten Zustand. Die Strandnähe und schön sonnige Terasse waren ebenfalls schön.

The location is excellent but the property itself was lacking in any character. Dark green furniture and no items such as pictures or ornaments to cheer it up. We had friends staying in the property next door which was much brighter and better furnished and much more homely and welcoming. Kitchen supplies were lacking e.g. no corkscrew so we had to buy one and 2 wine glasses (for an apartment which technically is for 3 people), 3 mismatched mugs and very cheap crockery and cutlery. The hot water boiler was switched off when we arrived so we had no hot water until we had figured out how to switch it on (there were no instructions on how to do this), the extractor fan in the kitchen didn't work, the light bulb in one of the bedroom lights was out and the heating system wasn't working. These last two points were quickly fixed when we contacted the reception but should have been checked prior to guests arriving. The bed linen consisted of a sheet and blanket which was inadequate for December. A further two blankets were in the wardrobe which were hard and scratchy and one was badly stained. The spare pillows in the wardrobe had no pillowcases on them. There was no cloth or sponge for washing dishes in the kitchen so we had to buy that as well.

Leiliogheten hadde ok planløsning. Seng; litt slitt madrass, sofa litt slitt, dårlig sittekomfort. Kjøkkenvifte ikke rengjort, veldig mye fett. Manglet lys på balkong. WiFi ustabil og tidvis dårlig kapasitet. Ikke sol på balkong etter kl 12.00. Dårlig lydisolering mellom leilighetene. Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet like ved strandpromenaden og stranda. Vårt opphold var på 3 uker og hadde forventet at hotellet hadde gitt oss en leilighet med bedre solforhold på denne tiden av året. Godt med varmtvann, egen tank for hver leilighet. Litt dårlig med kjøkkenutstyr, kun en kaserolle, en stekepanne, ikke ildfast fat, ikke vinglass.

Wir waren schon oft im Hipocampos, aber leider war in diesem Apartment die Küchenausstattung sehr dürftig. Da die Räumlichkeiten mit max. 6 Pers. belegt werden können, fehlten entsprechend Gläser und div. Küchenutensilien. Die Liegen auf dem Balkon müssten erneuert werden. Das hat uns aber nicht von der schönen Aussicht und der suboptimalen Nähe zum Strand abbringen lassen. Das ganze Gebäude ist in die Jahre gekommen und sollte dringend eine Erneuerung der Inneneinrichtung erhalten.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a superb view. Staff is friendly and the beach is just in front of the hotel, great location. However, there was no kettle in the kitchen, and the wifi was not working at all.

Wenn es sauberer wäre, kämmen wir gerne wieder. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr geräumig, unmittelbar an der Promenade, mit vielen guten Restaurants/ Bars zu vernünftigen Preisen und am Strand. Den Hafen erreicht man zu Fuß in ca. 15 Minuten.aber sauber ist etwas anderes.

El apartamento HIPOCAMPOS que nos dieron muy sucio. Le falta pintarlo y cambiar algunos muebles. En la entrada al apartamento con UNITURSA (que la realizamos en festivo) nos lo entregaron muy sucio (baños sucios, puertas manchadas manteles rotos, poco ajuar de cocina y sucio) Llevo varios años viniendo a estos apartamentos en Calpe, los cuales están muy bien, pero no repetiré mas con Unitursa. Si vuelvo será con Calpe-Rent Apart, que en general entregan mucho mejor los apartamentos. Los servicios de los apartamentos están muy bien tienen piscina al aire libre con un apartado para los niños, tumbonas en buen estado, sombrillas, spa desde octubre hasta mayo. La ubicación del edificio (4 bloques) esta en 1ª línea de playa. Por ultimo señalar que la señal WIFI es malísima y lenta y solo para un dispositivo. Con Calpe-Rent apart. la ultima vez que estuve (2016) la señal WIFI muy buena y rápida. Para resumir repetiré en este complejo de apartamentos pero no con Unitursa.

Nice location but a nightmare to find as no street names in Calpe. It would be useful to have cleaning materials provided ie washing up liquid and clothes and instructions for the tv and heating ( in winter) and in season pay for parking as difficult on street. But location excellent

Diese Bewertung bezieht sich auf eine Reise mit Kindern in den Weihnachtsferien. Der Komplex hat ein kleines Hallenbad, daher bei Komfort eine gute Bewertung. Ansonsten war das Apartment eher spartanisch ausgestattet und auch nicht mehr im besten Zustand. Die Strandnähe und schön sonnige Terasse waren ebenfalls schön.

The location is excellent but the property itself was lacking in any character. Dark green furniture and no items such as pictures or ornaments to cheer it up. We had friends staying in the property next door which was much brighter and better furnished and much more homely and welcoming. Kitchen supplies were lacking e.g. no corkscrew so we had to buy one and 2 wine glasses (for an apartment which technically is for 3 people), 3 mismatched mugs and very cheap crockery and cutlery. The hot water boiler was switched off when we arrived so we had no hot water until we had figured out how to switch it on (there were no instructions on how to do this), the extractor fan in the kitchen didn't work, the light bulb in one of the bedroom lights was out and the heating system wasn't working. These last two points were quickly fixed when we contacted the reception but should have been checked prior to guests arriving. The bed linen consisted of a sheet and blanket which was inadequate for December. A further two blankets were in the wardrobe which were hard and scratchy and one was badly stained. The spare pillows in the wardrobe had no pillowcases on them. There was no cloth or sponge for washing dishes in the kitchen so we had to buy that as well.

Leiliogheten hadde ok planløsning. Seng; litt slitt madrass, sofa litt slitt, dårlig sittekomfort. Kjøkkenvifte ikke rengjort, veldig mye fett. Manglet lys på balkong. WiFi ustabil og tidvis dårlig kapasitet. Ikke sol på balkong etter kl 12.00. Dårlig lydisolering mellom leilighetene. Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet like ved strandpromenaden og stranda. Vårt opphold var på 3 uker og hadde forventet at hotellet hadde gitt oss en leilighet med bedre solforhold på denne tiden av året. Godt med varmtvann, egen tank for hver leilighet. Litt dårlig med kjøkkenutstyr, kun en kaserolle, en stekepanne, ikke ildfast fat, ikke vinglass.

Wir waren schon oft im Hipocampos, aber leider war in diesem Apartment die Küchenausstattung sehr dürftig. Da die Räumlichkeiten mit max. 6 Pers. belegt werden können, fehlten entsprechend Gläser und div. Küchenutensilien. Die Liegen auf dem Balkon müssten erneuert werden. Das hat uns aber nicht von der schönen Aussicht und der suboptimalen Nähe zum Strand abbringen lassen. Das ganze Gebäude ist in die Jahre gekommen und sollte dringend eine Erneuerung der Inneneinrichtung erhalten.

Our room was spacious and comfortable with a superb view. Staff is friendly and the beach is just in front of the hotel, great location. However, there was no kettle in the kitchen, and the wifi was not working at all.

Wenn es sauberer wäre, kämmen wir gerne wieder. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr geräumig, unmittelbar an der Promenade, mit vielen guten Restaurants/ Bars zu vernünftigen Preisen und am Strand. Den Hafen erreicht man zu Fuß in ca. 15 Minuten.aber sauber ist etwas anderes.

El apartamento HIPOCAMPOS que nos dieron muy sucio. Le falta pintarlo y cambiar algunos muebles. En la entrada al apartamento con UNITURSA (que la realizamos en festivo) nos lo entregaron muy sucio (baños sucios, puertas manchadas manteles rotos, poco ajuar de cocina y sucio) Llevo varios años viniendo a estos apartamentos en Calpe, los cuales están muy bien, pero no repetiré mas con Unitursa. Si vuelvo será con Calpe-Rent Apart, que en general entregan mucho mejor los apartamentos. Los servicios de los apartamentos están muy bien tienen piscina al aire libre con un apartado para los niños, tumbonas en buen estado, sombrillas, spa desde octubre hasta mayo. La ubicación del edificio (4 bloques) esta en 1ª línea de playa. Por ultimo señalar que la señal WIFI es malísima y lenta y solo para un dispositivo. Con Calpe-Rent apart. la ultima vez que estuve (2016) la señal WIFI muy buena y rápida. Para resumir repetiré en este complejo de apartamentos pero no con Unitursa.

Nice location but a nightmare to find as no street names in Calpe. It would be useful to have cleaning materials provided ie washing up liquid and clothes and instructions for the tv and heating ( in winter) and in season pay for parking as difficult on street. But location excellent

Los apartamentos hipocampos están muy bien. Los conozco hace años, y quizá deberían ya reformarlos un poco, aunque están muy bien y muy bien ubicados
