Beach Villa Lanka

I booked this place on a whim. It had very good reviews and at the price point, I assumed it had to be excellent. I was very disappointed. The room was clean enough, but it didn't even have a chair or table. The only place to sit was the bed. There was a blue light around the ceiling that I couldn't turn off at night. The fridge leaked. The location is really cut off from everything except the blowhole though it is within a short tug tuk ride of places that one might want to see. The overpriced room didn't include breakfast which every other property I stayed at did. The grounds were not that inviting for sunbathing or swimming, though to be fair, I never went swimming. There was a cage fence separating the property from the beach, presumably to keep out the local fisherman, which felt unsettling. The TV didn't work and the internet connection was pretty terrible. The only redeeming feature in my opinion was the caretaker Mupale and his wife who made decent food and were diligent about anything I needed. Apart from that, the only thing I can say about it is that it was clean. I would have a hard time recommending this place. It was the most expensive place I stayed at on my trip around the south and it was also the most disappointing.

This was one of the top booking I have ever done! New building, clean, 10 meters next to the sea, where are no waves and you can swim and relax on the beach. Very friendly locals- neighbors.

I must say that this villa in completelly new, very nice and clean. My room was big and spacious, free wi - fi, smart TV, air condition,... I must say it was great. The food was good, but the best thing is the beach, which is right in front of the villa, I can basicly jump from my terrace into the sea. Nice warm indian ocean - perfect for swimming. That is the best of all! I definitely recommend.

My stay in Beach villa Lanka was great, very friendly staff, excelent food, but the very best thing is that the beach ( a very nice warm and calm Ocean) is right in front of the house, where you can enjoy and swimm all day long :) I definetly recommend this accommodation for all the guests who likes nature, contact with local people, great beach, who likes to swimm, relax, explore...

When I came to the hotel, I was very tired and the staff gave me the room right upon arrival, they served me a welcome drink - delicious fresh coctail and I could go swimming immediatelly, becouse the beach is just 5 steps away - in front of the villa. The local food was fresh and very good. I really cleared my minds on this spot becouse I did travel a lot in Srilanka but here, by the Indian ocean is a great location to calm and relax and just enjoy.
