Dumbara Peak Residence

The room was basically okay for its price however it had some small stuff that could've made it excellent. The shower drain was full of dried up hair clearly from a long time ago which caused the water from shower to flood the entire bathroom plus some parts of the bedroom as well. Either clean the sink better or install a threshold to prevent the water from going to bedroom. Upon entering my roon I noticed there were lots of ants around the roon especially on bed. I told about this to the staff and they came and sprayed the room. The ants seem to come through the AC unit so if you wanted to have AC on there were ants. I also saw one small cockroach under the minifridge but after politely escorting him outta the room there were no others 😂 The rooftop restaurant is nice and cheap and with a little renovation it could be really nice. Some renovations are apparently done cos there were some loud banging and drilling sounds all the way until 1am which made it impossible to sleep. Staff is very polite and helpful so despite the minor bumps on the road my opinion about the hotel is slightly on the positive side.

Alldeles för lyhört. Jag råkade vara här en lördag och såg fram emot att lägga mig tidigt men det var jättehög musik från ett hus bredvid så det var svårt att ens höra ljudet på min surfplatta. Annars ändå relativt fräscht. Trevlig restaurang på taket med trevlig utsikt. Hann dock inte njuta av frukosten för jag inte visste det skulle ta ett tag att få den och jag hade en taxi som väntade. Det är alltså inte buffé utan du får frukost när du visat att du vill ha.

キャンディ駅から歩いていけて、仏歯寺も徒歩圏内。部屋は綺麗に清掃され、シャワーも温水が出た。屋上レストランでの朝食は、眺めも良く、フレッシュジュースが美味しかった。

Very kind staff, clean nice room, very good access to the bus/railway station & the Buddha teeth temple.

Had a fantastic stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. Loved the convenient location as well. Would definitely stay here again!

The A/C OUT.. MY ROOM UP ..PROBLEM WHEN YOU ARE 70

市内にしては比較的安くて快適。 部屋の電気がチカチカしていて嫌な予感がしたが、1泊目の深夜に切れた。 翌朝交換してもらったが、そもそも最初の時点でチカチカしていたので交換しておくべき。 ペラペラ祭り期間だったので、ホテル入り口まで有料席を並べて売っていたので、出入りするたびに座っている人に移動をお願いする必要が生じた。 数度目にあからさまに嫌な態度をされたがそれなら席を売った方に言うべきだし、ホテルの入り口を塞ぐように有料席を売るなと言いたい。

The location is convenient and there are frequent buses to the nearby bus stop, so transportation is stress-free. The owner and staff speak English well and are very kind. They provided me with maps to show me many tourist spots and delicious restaurants, and assisted me in making my stay more fulfilling. When you go there for the first time, it is difficult to find the location from the outside due to the shutters, but it is located exactly as shown on the map and has a small nameplate. Security is strong and only guests can enter the building. Considering the location, rooms and hospitality, it is a good value hotel.

Good location and close to everything There is no elevator and reception desk in on first floor but the guy in reception help you and thats need to call him from down stairs. This hotel looks like motel more than hotel. In the room there is no facilities like fridge, electric kettle, glass… if you need glass or plate just needs ask reception. I need blanket but blanket was dirty. Breakfast was good and staffs are friendly.

Check-in was relatively fast. AC & hot water worked well. Wifi was relatively good. Decent location. There was a cockroach in the room, but overall I thought it was a good value, and I booked it again for another night

TV wasn’t working. We could see Perahera from their rooftop.

Good location in Kandy. Perfect for a transit stay. Wifi (as with everywhere else in Sri Lanka) is spotty.

まずロケーションが最高です。町の中心にあるので、仏歯寺や駅などは徒歩圏内です。室内は普通の広さ。フリーウォーターが二本あります。アメニティは石鹸とシャンプーが付いています。Wifiは、フロントに言えばパスワードを教えてくれます。スピードはこの国では早いほうで、切れることもありませんでした。ホテルのスタッフはフレンドリーです。ホテルにランドリーサービスはありませんが、徒歩一分ほどの場所にランドリーショップがあります。詳しい場所はフロントに訊けば教えてくれます。 朝食会場はルーフトップで、いい眺め。上着を持っていったほうがよいです。メニューはコンチネンタルで、トースト、オムレツ、ソーセージ、フルーツ、紅茶かコーヒー。味は普通ですが、満腹になります。テーブルが三つしかないので、早めに希望時間をフロントに伝えておいたほうがいいでしょう。 エレベーターはありません。階段も狭いので、大きなスーツケースの場合は気をつけましょう。

Riktigt centralt på gott och ont. Vi bodde i rummet närmast gatan och det var ett fasligt liv utanför. Hundar som bråkade och fordon som tutade. Vi sov inte många timmar. Jobbiga trappor upp till rummen. Vet inte vart gratisparkeringen fanns, våran chaufför hade problem med att stanna utanför hotellet. Personalen bjöd på en fruktdrink när vi kom, det var trevligt. Frukosten på takterrassen var ett plus, både utsikten och utbudet på frukostbordet var riktigt bra. Nära till affärer och restauranger. Räcker med en natt för oss.

エクスペディアにはランドリー設備”あり”とのことですが実際は無く、wifiはほとんど繋がらず、洗面所は常に臭い（排水溝の水封が利いていない？）という状況でした。また朝食付きを予約したのにチェックアウト時に1食500ルピーを請求されました（まあこれは本来抗戦すべきところ、鉄道の時間も迫っていたのでやむなく支払ってしまった自分も悪いですが）。 ただ、スリランカに1週間滞在していろいろなホテルに泊まりましたが、この価格帯でこのレベルであればスリランカでは上々なのかな、と思います。※他のホテルでもランドリー設備”あり”という情報にもかかわらず実際にあったことはありませんでした。
