Front desk lady gave different information regarding check out time and the free breakfast. Her approach was not hospitalable to say the least.

Charming boutique hotel. Although the surrounding area (3 km west of Galle Fort) is unassuming, the hotel itself is in a beautiful colonial style with every detail and unique decoration carefully thought through. The restaurant, just across the street and on the beach is also beautiful with excellent food. Highly recommended.

The room was smaller than advertised. Didn’t have a much space. The bathroom was stylish but the shower drain didn't work and flooded the bathroom. Also no hot water from the shower. What saved it a bit was the friendly hotel manager and the nice beach lounge across the road.

The place was beautiful design. Thats what I want in hotels. The staff were lovely. Amaan, Viraj and Nethmi were wonderful. This place is an oasis off the busy city street down to the Fort. If you want to stay away from the touristy Fort area on the coast, with a private beach, this place is for you. The only feedback I have for them is be clear about restaurant times. It said on menu in room 6p. I went down 6.15 and was told my meal would take 1 to 1.5 hours. This won't work for families with children. It is a beautiful new hotel but if they want to be one of the best, this is important to be organised & have good communication.

Fantastisk sted med fantastisk service. Ligger mellom Galle og Unawatuna. Lett. Ordne seg med Tuktuk. Ca 35 kroner til begge steder. Servicen var så gjennomført at jeg som nordmann nesten ble flau. Men stas var det. Anbefales på det sterkeste

Normally I’m not the person who writes reviews. But this hotel really deserves a good review. Its was great staying for me. Great interior design, cozy, clean. Its so close to Galle fort by tuktuk it takes only 230 rupees. Also staff were really really helpful, kind and caring. I had injury on my foot. They were really careful about this. Thank you Roshan and Banuka!

Even before we left home, the staff at taavetti was responsive and kind and helped us organise a driver who picked us up (and waited for us to sort out an issue with our bags!) at colombo airport with a sign. Upon arrival they were welcoming and smiling and provided us with cold towels and a refreshing mango juice. The property is spectacular with great antique furniture, lush vegetation and a very pretty pool. The arches throughout the property really add to the charm too. They took care of our bags and we even got upgraded to a massive room with a huge open bathroom and bathtub and a balcony with a partial sea view (room 8). The property was spotless and the bed huge and very comfortable. The wifi worked well too. The property is only a very short tuktuk ride away from galle fort with all restaurants and cultural activities. I also managed to book a massage on my first evening on arrival which was wonderful after a long flight. The therapist was attentive, thorough and applied the pressure that I wanted leaving me relaxed and happy. The massage room was beautiful and has a glass ceiling and I could hear the rain patting on it as I was getting massaged. Pure bliss. Throughout our stay the staff was attentive and regularly checked on us and had open line on communication through WhatsApp making it easy to chat and get everything we needed. This was the perfect experience and we would highly recommend taavetti and would love to come back one day!

Such a beautiful hotel and friendly staff. Easy access to the beach ( once you make it across the street), and a lovely hotel kitty!

Extraordinary, Quiet and a place out of the world.

We began our trip to Sri Lanka at Taavetti, and it was the perfect choice. The hotel arranged an airport pickup for us, making the two-hour drive smooth and scenic. Galle was an excellent starting point, and Taavetti proved to be the ideal place to stay. Getting to the fort was easy with a quick Tuk Tuk ride, and the beach across the street was simply spectacular. The hotel itself was fabulous, with an incredible staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A huge thank you to Ambiga, Gayantha, Raja, Nethmi, Roshan, Banuka, Hasitha, and Waruni—you all made our stay truly special! I wish we had stayed an extra night. The room was beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic, and the hotel even helped us arrange transportation to Mirissa the next day. A wonderful start to our Sri Lankan adventure!

Very cute hotel rite on the beach. Staff was superb . Breakfast was good and rooms Comfortable . Would definitely recommend

The staff were so friendly and genuinely helpful, they also have the most adorable cat that you may spot around the lobby area
