I usually try to stay close to whatever transport hub I’m using. But the were no rooms available in Interlaken, so I had to look further afield and happened upon a gem I would never have expected to find. Set on the mountain side with a view of Lake Thun and the Jungfrau mountains right there in front of your own private balcony. An amazing view. The room was compact but very clean. My only quibble was that bed had a footboard which is always a problem for tall people. The bus stop is right outside the front door in both directions and a free pass is provided by the hotel for local travel during your stay.

My stay at the Parkhotel Beatenberg was nothing short of extraordinary, and I cannot recommend this hidden gem highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with unparalleled courtesy and professionalism. Every interaction, whether with the front desk, housekeeping, or restaurant team, was marked by genuine warmth and a commitment to ensuring our comfort. Their attention to detail and seamless service made us feel truly valued as guests.
The room exceeded all expectations—immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for ultimate relaxation. Every aspect, from the plush bedding to the modern amenities, reflected the hotel’s dedication to quality. But the real showstopper was the view. The sweeping panorama of the Swiss Alps and Lake Thun was jaw-dropping, offering a breathtaking backdrop that made every moment unforgettable.
We also felt incredibly safe throughout our stay. This peace of mind allowed us to fully unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere. Speaking of serenity, I urge future travelers to skip the overcrowded tourist hotspots and choose the Parkhotel Beatenberg for a tranquil, secluded escape. Nestled in the peaceful village of Beatenberg, this hotel offers a quiet retreat where you can truly connect with the beauty of Switzerland without the hustle and bustle.

The location of the property is quiet and have a good scene in the room which can see the lake and the snow mountains. Also it is very easy to park the car. The town is very quiet with very few tourist. If you expect to walk to a tour area in downtown, this hotel is not the right location. It is under new owner and management, there are still many areas need to be improved. The room does not have AC.

Das Hotel ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, sehr hellhörig, die Lampe klirrte, wenn der Zimmernachbar oben über den Boden lief. Haare im Bad. Bett war bequem, Decke zu schwer (das ist vermutlich Geschmackssache). Frühstück war ausreichend und gut, schöner Garten und Ausblick. Eins der Fenster schloss nicht richtig, dadurch relativ laut mit den vorbei fahrenden Autos und wenn Leute vor dem Hotel stehen. Für mich war Preis-Leistung nicht angemessen.

Der Preis war um etwa das Doppelte massiv überteuert. Dienst-Leistungen tiefstes Niveau. Kein Restaurantbetrieb. Rezeption konnte etwas deutsch. Abends Essens-Suche nötig. Frühstück kein 1-Sterne Standard. Beispielsweise feuchte, weiche, matschige und gleichzeitig absolut trockene Brote und Gipfeli. Untragbar!

The staff was excellent! Property is located about 20 mins from Interlaken. There are not many places to eat near by, you would have to go to Interlaken. The shower stall was very small! Otherwise it gave the cabin type experience. Breakfast was good.

highly disappointing and unacceptable experience during my recent stay at your hotel. I booked two rooms for two nights from , but due to issues with the rooms, my family members were only able to use one room on the first night, resulting in significant inconvenience and discomfort.
Upon returning to the hotel in the evening, we found one room inaccessible. Despite multiple attempts to contact staff via phone and visiting the front desk, no assistance was provided. As a result, two members of our family were forced to sleep on the cold floor of the single accessible room. The room only had supplies sufficient for two people, with no additional blankets, heating devices, or any provisions for warmth, leading to physical discomfort and illness. This situation was utterly unacceptable.
The following morning, I contacted a staff member at the front desk, who assisted in replacing the room keys, allowing us to access the room . As we were only able to use one room on the first night, I requested a refund for the unused room. The staff informed me that he would escalate the matter to the manager and that I would receive a resolution by the next morning.
However, on the day of checkout, I followed up with another staff member, Ana, who claimed there was no record of the incident and was completely unaware of the situation.

Das Hotel war nicht sehr belegt, der Ausblick von dort oben ist sehr schön. Ich hatte dort Halbpension - das Abendessen war sehr gut und angerichtet wie in einem Sternerestaurant. ( Restaurant Jungfrau ). Frühstück war auch ok. was eben auch an der Gästezahl denke ich lag, aber es gab alles was man brauchte - Rührei, Speck, Wurst und Käseplatte, Früchte... - und der Preis hierfür war unschlagbar für diese Gegend. Zimmer schien neu renoviert - etwas klein - aber für eine Geschäftsreise vollkommend ausreichend.

Eins der Fenster schloss nicht richtig, dadurch relativ laut mit den vorbei fahrenden Autos und wenn Leute vor dem Hotel stehen. Für mich war Preis-Leistung nicht angemessen.

Der Preis war um etwa das Doppelte massiv überteuert. Dienst-Leistungen tiefstes Niveau. Kein Restaurantbetrieb. Rezeption konnte etwas deutsch. Abends Essens-Suche nötig. Frühstück kein 1-Sterne Standard. Beispielsweise feuchte, weiche, matschige und gleichzeitig absolut trockene Brote und Gipfeli. Untragbar!

Slightly out-of-the-way from interlocking, but worth the trip, magnificent views. Fantastic staff breakfast was included. Please note there is no laundry service here as the website says.

The staff was excellent! Property is located about 20 mins from Interlaken. There are not many places to eat near by, you would have to go to Interlaken. The shower stall was very small! Otherwise it gave the cabin type experience. Breakfast was good.

The Hotel is clean and well looked after. The garden is beautiful and the views is just amazing.
Would be nicer should the Hotel offers more choice of breakfast item. We will certainly come back & would recommend friends.

highly disappointing and unacceptable experience during my recent stay at your hotel. I booked two rooms for two nights from , but due to issues with the rooms, my family members were only able to use one room on the first night, resulting in significant inconvenience and discomfort.
Upon returning to the hotel in the evening, we found one room inaccessible. Despite multiple attempts to contact staff via phone and visiting the front desk, no assistance was provided. As a result, two members of our family were forced to sleep on the cold floor of the single accessible room. The room only had supplies sufficient for two people, with no additional blankets, heating devices, or any provisions for warmth, leading to physical discomfort and illness. This situation was utterly unacceptable.
The following morning, I contacted a staff member at the front desk, who assisted in replacing the room keys, allowing us to access the room . As we were only able to use one room on the first night, I requested a refund for the unused room. The staff informed me that he would escalate the matter to the manager and that I would receive a resolution by the next morning.
However, on the day of checkout, I followed up with another staff member, Ana, who claimed there was no record of the incident and was completely unaware of the situation.

Das Hotel war nicht sehr belegt, der Ausblick von dort oben ist sehr schön. Ich hatte dort Halbpension - das Abendessen war sehr gut und angerichtet wie in einem Sternerestaurant. ( Restaurant Jungfrau ). Frühstück war auch ok. was eben auch an der Gästezahl denke ich lag, aber es gab alles was man brauchte - Rührei, Speck, Wurst und Käseplatte, Früchte... - und der Preis hierfür war unschlagbar für diese Gegend. Zimmer schien neu renoviert - etwas klein - aber für eine Geschäftsreise vollkommend ausreichend.
