The hotel and general area was very peaceful. The hospitality was great, and the staff made us feel right at home. The view from the hotel is amazing, being close to both the mountains and the lake. It was also very convenient to drive to beautiful cities, such as Bern, Thun, the local Brienz, and Grindelwald is also not too far. Certainly has a more cottage vibe, but it adds to the experience. Would 10/10 recommend for an authentic Swiss experience.

Nette Mitarbeiter. Toller Chef. Nur schade, dass man kein Abendessen im Hotel bekommt. Einzige Möglichkeit im Ort zum Abend essen zu bekommen, wenn dass naheliegende Hotel nicht ausgebucht ist, weil dann bekommt man da auch kein Essen zum Abend.

Good to stay for chalet experience. Walkable but a bit far from Brienz lake and lake trail from the hotel side is not that pretty. Better to drive to Iseltwald. Service quality varies by who you meet the staff. The lady who had leggy hair at reception looks very negative keeping said No, we can’t, we don’t whenever I asked, which I was serviced on the other day. She took away my a little good stay experience and memory during the stay. Other than her, everyone was so kind and full of hospitality.

I wish I had an option for a zero-star rating for this hotel. They provided us with a broken folding bed for my five-year-old son. The dinner buffet was set up for another group party. Actually, the food was leftover. I say this is terrible.

This place is extremely clean you dont have to worry of the hygene. The staff are very kind. We had a short chat on the day when it rained and went to the caves which was also very nice to avoid the heavy rain.

Lovely simple hotel a bit off Brienz. There’s a bus connection to Brienz, but I’d recommend a car. It was nicely situated about a 40 min drive to Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Mostly very quiet and everything was clean and simple. If you happen to have noisy neighbours, then it might be a bit uncomfy, but that’s really not the hotel’s fault. The room doesn’t have an aircon, but it did get a bit more chilly at night if we kept the door open.

The staff was amazing! This was the best place we stayed during our 10 day road trip through Europe. The breakfast was delicious and the little details made you feel special. The room was clean and accommodating to 3 adults, I was traveling with my 2 adult children. They even gave me a gift at checkout.

we enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel for 4 nights, very friendly staff, peaceful place with gorgeous view of the mountains, we had a car to travel around and was close to everywhere, 5 min to Brienze lake, 18 min to intarlaken and less than an hour drive to Luzern, bern, lauterbrunen, grinderwald. Spacious and very clean rooms, house keeping everyday, good breakfast.

This hotel is located in the most peaceful, beautiful valley. It is a real retreat! The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is magnificent--variety, replenished, attentive staff. Parking is easy; rooms are spacious; soup & cocoa snacks are a bonus. Plus there are cute cow statues and a kugelweg (marble run) in the playground nearby.
