The host at the restaurant was amazing, not sure of his name but he was working 7/30/2025 around 8pm. 10/10 hospitality experience.
The rooms were outdated and a bit run down. You almost feel like two different properties when going from the lobby to your room because the public places of the hotel are spectacular and the rooms are very old. 1213 needs a shower upgrade as well as a new office chair it's broken.

Aging property. Room wasn't clean ie cigarette smells hairs in bathroom and bed. Stained headboards. Questionable power in room. Multiple extension cords and box extenders. Worn out outlets in bed side lamps. No to little cell service and intermittent wifi. Also TV would lock up while watching. Outrageous parking fees for a property not in a downtown location.

At check in, nothing was explained to us. We walked across the whole ‘resort’ to get to our rooms when she could have explained it quite easily. We figured it out on our own. She never mentioned the little store, we found it on our own. Our room was right by the elevator and we heard it all night long. There was a giant puddle from the bottom floor elevator leading outside for hours. Just a meh experience.

I was charged $46.60 for parking I did not use and my bed comforter had a really gross looking stain on it and the room was extremely dusty.

Very disappointing stay. The AC in my room wasn’t working, and when I told the front desk, all they said was “Okay” — no apology, no solution, nothing. The staff were unhelpful and clearly uninterested in addressing guest concerns. The room itself was in terrible condition: old, worn down, and not well maintained. The only decent thing about this place was the scenic outdoor area, but that doesn’t make up for how poorly everything else is managed. I wouldn’t stay here again.

i was disappointed that we did not receive the room that i reserved. i reserved 2 double beds but we ended up getting one bed and a sofa bed. that is not what i reserved. sofa bed was uncomfortable to sleep in. my back hurts from it.

Restaurant and staff were great. I find that charging for tv deeply sad. And saying room service refers to potato chips and premade sandwiches. There must be a truer word.
Towel bar was broken.
But the setting at Berkeley Marina is wonderful

We enjoyed our stay of three nights although there was an issue with the air conditioning. The equipment ceased functioning on the second night. There was no response when we communicated using Chat feature in the app. There was no response when we sent the message using the number provided for Text Messaging. We called in order to communicate the situation. Help was not offered without some coaxing by my wife. Finally we were allowed to change rooms in order to resolve the air conditioning equipment issue. It was 11 PM on the second night when the interaction with staff occurred. The nightly parking fee was cancelled as compensation for our trouble. The situation was resolved to our satisfaction finally.

The Cesar Chavez park across the street was a huge + especially for early morning or late night walks. In addition, if you didn't want to pay for parking you could leave your car there and not have to worry. All balcony rooms don’t have the greatest view but the rooms are spacious nonetheless. Thanks for all the cookies btw.
