White Marlin Inn

This is an old property, but it is well maintained. When we entered the room shortly after 4:00 p.m. the floor was still wet, and the room smelled heavily of bleach. It did not dissipate. The beds, which is how I often judge a room, were good, but there was a light directly outside the single window that stayed on all night, lighting the room enough that it was difficult to sleep. The staff was very nice. Location was great to walk to the beach or the grocery store. Air conditioned, hot water, good water pressure. No signs of bugs. Could be cleaner but it wasnt terrible. Price was great for location. Would stay again!

I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular for the price , however the room was not clean. The walls were especially gross .

Hotel has convenient location, just a walking distance to boardwalk and pet friendly but rooms are small. Rooms have refrigerator but no microwave. Restrooms not really clean.

The floors are filthy, walls, around door knob dirty. Kitchen had no plates etc. Was not furnished at all in kitchen. Smelled of mold. We tried putting dryer sheets everywhere for smell. I found dead bedbugs on the floor and we had to leave. A few men kept walking past our window all night so we felt unsafe there. Worst experience ever. We had to pay to book another hotel and left. I'm glad we did but so much money wasted. I spoke to front desk person and they said nothing just shook her head. Worst Birthday week ever.

I got a 2nd floor 9x9 room. Parking was well lit but tight. The carpeted outdoor walkway to my room was moldy/stained/sticky. My exterior door had enough airspace under it to deliver a boxed pizza without opening the door, but later I found it doubled as a megaphone and a nightlight. The cheap blinds did nothing to help block streetlights. The floor inside had screws trying to pop up through thin laminate. The walls claimed to be from the 1970’s. I was given 3 handtowels and 3 washcloths for 4 nights. I looked around for real bathtowels, but that’s all I got. These tiny thin towels were apparently multipurpose towels which were to double as a handtowel/bathmat. I don’t expect a maid to come in to make my bed daily, but on the 2nd day someone entered just long enough to install a fresh roll of toilet paper but it was clear that they didn’t do anything else at all, such as bring some REAL towels. I asked for bathtowels at the desk, and they gave me 3 more handtowels. The bathroom was clean was so small that you had to leave the room to open/close the door. The sink didn’t drain. The stopper was broken. You can’t adjust it, but can only pry it up with your fingernails an 8th inch and jiggle it for the water to slowly escape. A broken piece from the sink rested under my dresser for my entire visit. No one sweeps. AC was mighty but sounded like an airplane taking off. The TV channels were limited to 12. The mini fridge was the nicest part of the room due to a large freezer.

Bad place to stay.

Customer service was very terrible and the lady at the front desk was very rude

The hotel room ceiling was covered in black mold, the sheets and floor were all damp due to the AC unit not working.

Arrive to check in to find a note on the door that says to go to another property to check it. Walk down to the other property to Check and the person in front of us has an issue but states that they need to discuss it in private so that they do not upset any other guest. Not a good feeling check in walk back to the property go to the room. Ac doesn’t work at all. I have to walk back to the other property because there’s no phone in the room to call for them not to believe me and for them to walk over to the property to look for me to have to walk back to the second property to get different room, keys and switch rooms. No housekeeping, never even got a clean towel the whole timeframe that we stayed there had to go back there and ask floors were never swept. Nothing trash was never taken out. It was horrible

The service was good. Due to traffic I got there extra late and they were able to accommodate that for me. However, the room we got the floor felt like it was ready to give out at any point with even just walking on it! I ended up making that spot a no step spot for my son and told him to crawl over the bed instead of walking on that spot or I’d walk over it to the other side and pick him up over it. The location was great and that’s why I picked it but the flooring def should be re-done soon.

The tv barely worked and when it did you could only see half the screen, The blind were broken people could just see right in..

Fantastic location room itself is okay. Sand on sheets and blankets when we checked in. Based on location I'd probably stay again and bring bedding. For the price its worth the money. Certainly isn't a luxury spot.

Do not stay here! Room door was very insecure room was filthy, no TV remote, no floor towels, I don’t think the sheets were even washed. Then to top it off, the manager came and verbally aggressively insulted a special needs guest and his parent it was completely disgusting. Her actions as was the whole stay.

Sheets were dirty room was dirty covers were dirty everything about the place was disappointing!

Thevroom had a hole in the floor, the tv didnt turn on .. only one key per room . And exra towels or cleaning services . Even garbage we need to take out by ourselfs . ..

The room was nasty!! Tons of hair in the sink and shower. The toilet was broken and was rocking back and forth. The air conditioner was leaking huge puddles into the room. The fridge was old and rusted around the seals of the door and barely cooled anything. There were tons of ants everywhere in the room. The tv was broken on the bottom. And worst of all we found roaches on the floor and upon further investigation behind the tv.. worst place ever!!! We had to go buy towels and wash clothes because front desk would tell us to find housekeeping and they were never around!

Overall the location and the property/motel is good. We’ve stayed here a few times without anything causing us to question. But with staying in the apartment they have this time we had bugs that coming back over and over after killing them. They were like caterpillar like insects that were crawling on the ceiling and floors especially during the night. That was the only big issue that caused concerns. They may need to hire an exterminator to come and get rid of those.

False advertising at its finest. This room was awful. They didn’t clean the room at all while we were there. I had to ask for a broom to borrow and ask for extra towels that they said they only provided two and two wash rags. The room was not very clean when we arrived. The manager at the office when we arrived was rude and could barely speak any English. I will never stay here again.
