The cruise and staff were wonderful. The pickup and drop off to Hanoi hotel is an extra $50, but I believe this is normal. Be advised though, stock up on water and drinks ahead of time, as all drinks, even water, is an additional cost once on board. Food (which was good) is included, but no beverages, not even water (which was a surprise), are included.

If you are planning a 2 night stay please ask to see the daily itinerary as we ended up repeating activities for those new to the boat on the 2nd day. There is also no check in office which was a bit confusing and presented lack of information when first arriving at the Magestic waiting area. Someone eventually found us when we were about to board. Overall the service and staff on the cruise were wonderful, very accomodating and friendly. The food on the first night was amazing and beautifully presented. The 2nd night the newcommers were given our menu from the first night and we were offered a basic dinner. Breakfast was simple, nothing elaborate. The food is fresh and the accomodation clean and tidy. No problems at all with comfort. Being a smaller boat was good too. Made service efficient and less people to move around. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Magestic Cruises and would cruise with them again if they update their daily activities to change for those staying on the boat more than one night.

This wasn't the boat we paid for. It was still under construction, and the amenities described in the reservation weren't available. There was no internet, mini bar, or room service as mentioned in the listing. The water wouldn't drain out of the bathroom, and there were still holes in the ceiling. There was no tv or places to put our things--only a room with a very hard bed and a table. The activities described were rushed (each under 30 minutes) because they were late getting us to the boat. Some of the activities weren't even offered because the boat wasn't prepared. At night, there was nothing available for us to do--no music, internet, entertainment, activities, or outside lighting. It seems like they posted pictures of their previous boat and weren't ready for trips on the new boat. It was all very disorganized--they would rush us through an activity and then require us to sit and wait on the boat with nothing to do.

This was an amazing cruise and hotel. Please note that the hotel price does not include the tour guide whom picked up and drop us off from our hotel in Hanoi. Our tour guide, Hung, is amazing! He’s very accommodating and a knowledgeable about Vietnam’s history. We were fortunate and had only 18 people in our tour group. (4 from my family: mom 73, aunt 76, bf and I 46.) The food is decent, and there is a night squid catching but no of us caught anything except a few good laughs. The staffs are super friendly. The views around Halong Bay are surreal! Bring your waterproof camera!

Amazing experience on the overnight cruise with loads of fresh eats, meet up with lovely people from other nations, a truly first class guide (Mr Hung) who is very knowledgeable, fun, easy going and engaging. Cruise staff were warm and sociable. Cooking class is a real hit!

Service and guide we're awesome. Mau was very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Halong Bay, Ti Top island, and cave were amazing. Boat was just okay didn't seem like tbe pictures, double bed was two singles pushed together. There were Mice in the ceiling at night. Next day, water shut off halfway through shower and A/C stopped working.

Had a good trip with Hung as our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the trip a lot more fun. Boat was clean and rooms were decent size. Lots of food would have preferred Vietnamese all the way through instead of a fancier dinner. Attractions were nice but very crowded.

Insgesamt war es eine sehr schöne Erfahrung durch die Halong Bucht zu schippern und auch die Nacht an Bord zu verbringen. Zwar ist man natürlich nicht alleine (das Ganze ist schon sehr touristisch), aber das weiß man vorher und kann sich dementsprechend darauf einstellen. Die Organisation war wirklich super, die Crew sehr aufmerksam, sodass der Trip uns sehr gefallen hat. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch reichlich.
