I've stayed at this hotel (previously Hotel Tequendama) several times over the past few years and I'm sad to say that I will no longer be using this hotel. What was once a great hotel has now fallen victim to corporate greed by a CEO that is out of touch with reality. The pool and sauna are no longer available to guest unless they pay for some type of spa service. Although I have no issues with using the spa services (which I did) to gain access to the pool, I dislike the feeling of being nickeled and dimed for what used to be free.
The hotel rooms are extremely loud, as the single pane windows allow all the noise from the street to enter your room. Although I stayed on the 16th floor, it sounded like I was on the first floor. Sirens and horns were heard at all hours of the night and I could hear my neighbors having intercourse in the room next door.
The only reason why I didn't rate this hotel one star is because of the exceptional service by the employees. As someone who visits Bogotá annually, I'm sad to see that a company has let it's greedy administration destroy what was once a great hotel.
