At $350/night, this hotel was very disappointing. We arrived soaking wet after getting caught in a storm on our boat and it was 4pm “check in” time, so we were excited to get dried off and changed i to dry clothes. Even though he could clearly see we were soaking wet, the male clerk on the desk casually said our room would be at least 20 minutes before it would be ready and waved towards a cooler and said “you can have one cold drink on me”. As if a cold pop is would solve the problem! For 20 minutes, we waited watching several people successfully check in and go to their rooms, finally the female clerk asked what we were waiting for and I said “the only room not ready” and her reaponse was “unfortunately, several aren’t ready” as if that is better!? She WAS however able to find us a room of our style ready by just taking a minute to look, so we do appreciate that she gave us a few minutes of her time. (Unlike the male clerk). The room was clean and large, but the bathroom door lock was broken and the hook on the back of the bathroom door was falling off. The elevator stunk all weekend of urine. The buffet breakfast we prepaid for was more like a continental breakfast. Not worth the $19.00 per person. To top it off, the hotel was surrounded by drug addicts looking for handouts. We even witnessed the waitress run to lock the outside entrance door so they were unable to enter, so obviously they have had previous issues. I would not reccomend staying at this hotel.

The rooms were great! They were clean and the river view was great! The elevator had a horrible smell. Our parties rooms weren't all ready by check in time. They mentioned that a lot of rooms weren't ready, so maybe extra staff is needed for cleaning on the weekends. The restaurant dinner was great! The morning "buffet" for $16 was a bit much for a regular hotel breakfast. Lots of homeless people hanging around the parking lot, so definitley need to secure your vehicle. Not much the hotel can do about that, though.

We always enjoy staying in our riverside room with balcony when we visit Peterborough. The room is clean and the beds comfortable. The view is great. Friendly staff. And there’s a great outdoor patio/bar/restaurant right on site with live entertainment. I can even cast a line from the property for a little Bass fishing. Dining opportunities are right across the street and free music concerts with first class acts during the summer are featured Wednesdays and Saturday nights at the park next door.

Es war nicht unser Hotel. Im ersten Hotelzimmer war die Klimaanlage herunter gerissen, trotzdem haben wir es bekommen. Polster waren nicht frisch. Dann Zimmer gewechselt. Klimaanlage musste abgedreht werden, weil sie so laut war. Beim Frühstück gab es nur Kaffe, weder Wasser noch Saft.. wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen. Weiters ist es eine unsichere Gegend. Die Obdachlosen wohnen nur eine Straße weiter. Es war eine sehr angespannte Situation. Was positiv war, dass das Personal sehr bemüht war. Sie können für den Zustand des Hotels nichts. Für uns eine Stadt, die man auslassen kann.

The lobby should be in the middle of the hotel not at one end where it is too far away from the only elevator. The elderly and walking impaired should know ahead of booking that there may be a great deal of walking depending on where their room is situated.

Nice location.

The hotel was okay, but felt a little outdated. The room itself was fine, but the sheets did not seem fresh. They actually smelled like someone had slept in the bed before. We paid for the room online the night before, and at check-in they only asked for a credit card for damages. Later, we noticed a $16 charge. When we called, they said it was for complimentary water and coffee. If it’s complimentary, why charge at all? They did say they’d refund it, but the situation felt wrong. I’d recommend checking your credit card carefully and watching for unexpected charges. They will get away with it if you don't notice it.

The room was clean. I especially liked that I wasn’t carpeted. I didn’t use the balcony but it was a nice to have for sure. Staff were friendly. The Pool area was clean and it was great having an indoor and outdoor option plus it was heated. The sauna was good too!

This Holiday Inn is in need of some serious upgrades involving their amenities. Dated and often in disrepair, the pool and outside bar/restaurant needed a good declutter and updated patio furniture and tables. The pool was clean but has obviously seen better days. BUT, the saving grace to our 2 night stay was the incredible staff. Kind, efficient and knowledgeable. From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the great bartender, this Holiday Inn has some great employees. As well, our room was very clean and comfortable and most likely just remodeled.

If you want to pay a high price for a terrible place then this is your place . $4.00 billed to my credit card for what they made me feel was complementary and then almost $40 to pay for a parking lot that was disgusting full of garbage and needles and everything else. I had a fridge in the room that didn’t work and had to request a microwave that I’m sure was from 1982 brought into the room.. they call these resort fees. This is far from a resort. I will not be back. This was a terrible disgusting dirty weekend.

This hotel is very well maintained and conveniently located. We really enjoyed the patio of the on-site restaurant with entertainment the evening we were there. We enjoyed our water view patio, and the walkway along the water. The dock for the Lift Lock Cruise is right beside the parking lot, which was very handy. There's a grocery store a couple blocks away, other shopping in walkable distance, and a Tim Hortons and Smittys right across the street. The staff were all very friendly and seemed truly interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay. Great spot!

The rooms were clean, their staff were very friendly and helpful. Access to the River Trail and to the Lift lock Cruise was very convenient.

The hotel is located by the lake in the centre of the town. Is the service attitude good, but its facilities are slightly better than those of a motel. I wonder why it is classified under IHG on the website.

Both Restaurants had a great service, and food was great (dinner in the patio and breakfast inside). The pool area can use an update; it looks a bit run down but we really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor transition! Thin walls made hard to rest properly, between wedding goers and some teenagers knocking at our doors randomly...

The Outdoor Indoor pool overlooking the waterfront made it feel like a mini vacation. They had a hot tub and a sauna. Entertainment and dining on the water front sealed the deal.

Even a charger for electric vehicle!

Staff was friendly. Found it very noisy. Live band playing during the evening and then another function so absolutely no quiet time on the premises, from 7 till midnight There were quite a few children and early teens roaming the halls unattended past 1130 pm. More a parent issue but no staff involvement Stayed at other hotels recently and had no issues which were less expensive. The breakfast was sub par as well. Will not be searching for Holiday inns again.
