Top notch hotel. The lack of a regal lobby benefits this hotel. Charming and hospitable. 5 stars. Go there.

Bed needed a new mattress. Coffee maker in room didn’t work. Very small room for the cost. When I went down to breakfast, hostess wanted to make me wait because I didn’t have a reservation. Second hostess intervened and gave me a table. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past and always had a better experience. They need to up their game.

The Hay-Adams is truly exceptional. The location couldn’t be more convenient—right across from the White House, with many key attractions within walking distance. The staff was warm, professional, and consistently accommodating, making our stay feel effortless. One of the highlights was the speakeasy-style bar downstairs—intimate, stylish, and perfect for a nightcap. This hotel blends historic charm with refined luxury. Highly recommend.

Gone for years. Never been disappointed.

This is a beautiful and historic hotel just a stones throw from the White House. We also loved the downstairs bar which is warm and cozy and a great vibe. Staff is lovely and the room was classic beauty from a bygone era in the best possible way.

I felt like I was sleeping in the White House!

Restroom shower wasn’t clean, requested several times to resolved the issue but nothing happened

L’albergo è magnifico, l’accoglienza sobria ma davvero di grande qualità, tutto è al top. La nostra stanza era comoda, bella e pulita. Non avrei desiderato altro. Servizio di parcheggio comodissimo, posizione eccellenza, ad un passo dalla Casa Bianca. Ottima anche la colazione e splendido il ristorante con vista impagabile su Capitol Hill. Tutto perfetto. Solo l’aria condizionata un po’ eccessiva, ma per il resto davvero un albergo dove tornerei
