Short walk to everywhere you want to go in San Antonio.

Great hotel great staff

The room was stinky and there wasn't a microwave. The pool wasn't opened. We didn't want to walk to your sister hotel to use theres.

This hotel does NOT offer room service of any type. They have a good restaurant/bar that offers food until 10pm and a cafe that closes at 1pm. The beds are firm, and the pillows are soft & undersized. Each room has a mini-fridge. The staff are friendly & competent, but it is difficult to get their attention relatively often. The hotel theoretically has views of the Alamo, but it is currently being turned into an Ala-Mall, so everything within sight is covered in scaffolding, beams, and modern walls that predumably will hold more people...and options to get their money. My bathroom wasn't altogether clean when I got it.

Awesome place will definitely stay there again

Great stay and great location right next to the Alamo. Everything was very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Easy to walk to the river walk, stores and restaurants. Pool was nice and refreshing. Valet parking was worth it for us so you don’t have to worry about navigating parking downtown. I would definitely stay again

The lobby is great and spacious, it's just a shame that some of that space wasn't allocated to the room. The location to the Riverwalk is great -while the mall is open. Once the mall closes, you have to take a 2-3 block detour which isn't well lit. I recommend bringing your own pillow. While the room did have six pillows on my bed, I didn't care for any of them. The restaurant was good. I wasn't able to try the cactus fries since they were out of them but it was within the hour of closing so they may not have had anymore prepped. The Alimo biscuit about two blocks from the hotel on the Riverwalk has a really good breakfast for a moderate price. I personally didn't care for the limited menu for the breakfast offerings in the cafe area of the hotel but I did see several ladies enjoying their coffee and muffins in the cafe's dining area.

Well, as soon as I arrived, the concierge decided to charge me for valet. However, when I told them that valet was already included in my package, they insisted on keeping $300 on hold. So, I agreed for them to keep it on hold. Next, two days later, there were two more charges on my account $292 and $10. When I went downstairs to talk about the charge, they told me that it was a "hold," and I was wondering why I needed to pay for another hold when I tipped the valet and paid out of pocket for my food. He finally cancelled the charges. A few days after I left the hotel, there was another charge of $14.94 again for no reason. I hope they do not claim damages because I took pictures of the room before I left, and there was no damage. At this point, I am glad I checked my account every day, because I did not trust that they would reimburse me my money if I did not check. Was my stay pleasant? Yes, it was, but I wouldn't recommend it because I believe the hotel was irresponsible with my money.

Old classic charm of a historical property

Great location, great customer service. Perfect for visiting the Alamo and river walk. Priced much better than most hotels in the area. Worth the stay for sure. Safe area.

It was downtown near the concert venue I was attending. The Aztec theatre and the Crocket hotel are both historic building in downtown San Antonio which added to the whole experience.

It was within walking distance of a lot of places we wanted to see. Fairly quiet. Very clean. My only ‘issue’ was the ‘view’ from our room. It was the side of a building. Other than that, it was great

Location close to major attractions/intresting places

The air conditioner was super loud, the desk person never told us about gym usage at another hotel, when asked for my car, was told that I had to use the text that they couldn't help. Heard desk peson share info about drink discounts at the tavern and we weren't told that. construction outside my window started at 6:30 am. overall was just not impressed and honestly wouldn't stay again or recommend.
