Dirty, smelly and outdated.

This is my first time staying at Comfort Inn & Suites and I am sure I will also choose Comfort Inn in the future. It’s clean and good maintenance of the room.

Would not stay here again.

The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness and the care the staff took to maintain all areas. The staff were very helpful. Location was very good with small restaurants within walking distance. Overall rating was excellent

The hotel hallways were clean but our room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The lamps were stained and discolored and there was a huge stain in the carpet. If you have allergies or asthma, I would book elsewhere.

Pool was fine but dirty - kids didn’t care. Sheets and bathroom were clean but shower curtain had mold and there were handprints on the wall in room. Furniture is well used. Fine for a 1 night stay but would never stay again.

The issues started right when we arrived. My son started reacting to the room. The only thing he reacts to is animals and mold, so we are fairly certain there is mold in the carpets or walls. The room/hotel had a strong musty odor that wasn’t subtle. Our room had gum stuck to bedframe and AC unit, splattered stains on the AC unit and a very stained and damaged tub. The entire first impression was terrible and didn’t get better. The kids tried to enjoy the pool but the water was cloudy and the tiles were slimy. So bad that my husband wouldn’t go in with them and usually he is the first one in. The breakfast was over crowded and consistently empty. On the last day we gave up completely and went to a local restaurant instead. We definitely won’t be staying there again and would not recommend it.

Staff not very friendly one of the front desk people was very rude when talking on the phone with a customer inquiring about rates n amenities. Rooms were only cleaned once for a 4 day 3 night stay even though it was requested. Staff didn’t want to sell me laundry detergent or dryer sheets and tried to talk me outta doing laundry at all in their hotel. Upon check out I forgot my zip up hoodie hanging up in the bathroom which housekeeping did not turn in. I called many times asking about my hoodie all they said was we will call you back.

Rooms are very dated but they do offer a pretty decent continental breakfast with eggs and sausages and the usual fruits, juice, yogurt, breads and bagels with coffee and tea. Would be great if the pool was open longer for there to be time to have a swim.

Staff are really friendly and helpfull, our room is very clean, air condition is work well, breakfast is fine. If I visit again Calgary, I would like to book again for sure!!!!

Probably a fair stay for the low price. Room was clean but it didn’t smell clean, particularly the bathroom. Could do with a deep clean and replacement of shower curtain. Pool water was cloudy. Staff appeared to be hard working and were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole week. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items and coffee was kept fresh! Great location for its close proximity to the University.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites University. Although it’s a no-frills property (e.g. breakfast is eaten on disposable plates), our room was spotlessly clean and very large, with separate lounge and bedroom areas. The hotel, which has its own small pool, is also located over the road from Banff Trail train station, around the corner from several restaurants, and very close to McMahon Stadium. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Parking at the hotel was free and straightforward and the check-in and check-out processes were quick and easy.

Breakfast was pretty weak but typical. Room was comfy and pool was nice. Slide was fun even as an adult

Everything was perfect!

The front desk and breakfast staff were very helpful and kind. Unfortunately, the room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. The pool was smaller. My son loved the waterside but my toddler daughter had a tough time playing in the pool as it was so full and splashy.

Had my vehicle backed into by another guest.
