I would like to thank Samantha at reception for the warm welcome. Always with a smile and cheerful.

Check in was good considering extenuating circumstances (police had been called to investigate what appeared to be a domestic violence incident). I asked for early check in, which they were able to accommodate for an additional fee. The room itself was very large, but the decor was tired. Bed was comfortable. Very little water pressure in shower. On site restaurant is quite good. Overall, had its ups and downs.

Great service and helpful staff. Good food and setvice at restaurant.

Extremely comfortable and clean, with oddities. We had a one bedroom apartment with a huge living room and bedroom, the tiniest bathroom imaginable and a skinny dining room. The kitchen could be a bit better stocked -- bring your own paper towels, and the cereal bowls are very small. The kitchen is also in need of renovation, things are getting a little funky, but everything was very clean. Bed was incredibly comfortable, couches were comfortable and lots of lamps for reading and cozy lounging. Staff were very pleasant and the neighbourhood was great -- right in the centre of things but off a main road, so quieter. We were able to walk to restos, LCBO, grocery store, etc. Underground parking was easy, too. We really liked this place -- even if it could do with a bit of remodel -- and will hope to stay there next time we're in Ottawa.

Le séjour s’est bien déroulé. Nous y sommes restés que pour le couchage. (2 nuits) Les plus: chambres très grandes, possibilité de laver son linge dans la laverie de l’hôtel ; de manger dans le coin cuisine; mise à disposition café the, frigo, micro ondes Les chambres sont propres et faites chaque jour. Le parking municipal est couvert sécurisé, prix pas cher. Situation géographique parfaite Le moins : Nous étions 6 voyageurs; 2 familles de 3 adultes mais on nous a proposé 1 chambre pour 4 ( 2 lits King size) et 1 chambre pour 3( 1 lit King size et un canapé) Heureusement que nous avons pu trouver un arrangement entre nous car l’hôtel était soit disant complet et n’a rien proposé d’autre. Dans une chambre la climatisation faisait trop de bruit nous ne l’avons pas activé mais à ce moment de l’année ça n’a pas été dérangeant. Et dans l’autre elle ne fonctionnait pas. Lorsque nous sommes rentrés dans la soirée on nous avait changé de chambre. Et là on nous propose une immense chambre. Je le recommande et si je dois y revenir je le ferai sans hésiter.

The room was spacious and included a nice surprise: a fully equipped kitchenette with a clean refrigerator, cafe machine, four-burner stove, pots, bowls, plates, and cutlery. Great for families or longer stays. However, the air conditioning unit hangs in the middle of the room and makes a terrible, loud rattling noise every time it runs—impossible to ignore and disruptive to sleep. Most disappointing was the irresponsible and misleading front desk service. We prepaid through Expedia. At check-in, the receptionist offered parking and quoted “$28 plus tax.” I immediately clarified: “So $28 plus tax is for parking for our full two-night stay?”
She clearly answered “YES.” We were later charged $63.26—$28 + tax per night. When I complained, Front Desk Manager Francisco Rodiles dismissed it entirely, saying the per-day rate was listed on Expedia. While that may be true, it does not justify staff verbally confirming a total price that was completely wrong. This caused wasted time, stress, and frustration. The manager refused any refund, apology, or accountability—only deflection. Bottom line: Good room size and kitchen setup, but ruined by noisy AC and shockingly poor front desk integrity. Not the reliability or transparency I expect from a downtown Ottawa hotel.

Everything was excllellent!

Great location on a quiet street but with easy access to both Centretown and Byward Market (via Rideau Centre). Building is older but the units are nicely renovated and very spacious. Has a full kitchen if one wanted to cook. Onsite parking is limited but there is easy access to parking at Ottawa City Hall (only a few minutes walk away) where parking is only $4 a day on weekends.

Staff was lovely and very helpful. Room was clean and quiet. We did not eat at the hotel, so can't comment. We would definitely stay again.
