2 night stay with my wife. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel is older but updated well with a large TV in the room and lots of channels. Breakfast was pretty good.

Parkin Parking not easily accessible to seniors. Better variety for breakfast at super 8 in Peterborough.

We loved how close the location was to the water. It’s a beautiful area with a walking trail right along the water. We were a little off-put upon checking in as the man working the front desk was rude and short with my husband and I for reasons unknown to us. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast options, but were disappointed when a different man working the front desk stopped us on our way back up to our room. He said we could not bring our breakfast up to the room and when we asked why, he said too many people pack food to bring home with them. There was limited seating available in the breakfast area and we each only had one plate of food so this didn’t make sense to us. The facilities are a little bit dated but it was worth it to us to be close to the water for Victoria Day long weekend. I’m not sure that we would return here due to the attitude of the staff.

Our room was stuffy and definitely not sound-proof. We could easily hear the occupants and the TV in the next room.

Both the common areas and room were clean, the hotel was quiet and staff were polite, professional and attentive. The free breakfast had a few hot choices and some cold. Nothing fancy, but it was okay and it was free. Trains do pass by the front of the hotel a few hundred feet away but not too often and as a relatively light sleeper, I only woke up once to them. Easily cured if you get a room on the other side of the hotel. Overall, a very good stay and I wouldn’t hesitate booking there again.

Fair

Parking was great. No hotel staff to greet us in arrival, waited five ten minutes to check in. Initial thoughts were nice room. Tried to use the pool, it was broken and freezing and the slide was barricaded off because “there aren’t enough people to use it so we don’t”. Staff Roger was a really helpful and nice guy who seemed to have his hands tied and full. I commend him for trying to make us happy. The remote for the TV didn’t work so asked for new batteries, did not help so ended up using the buttons on the TV instead, mildly inconvenient. The hotel was nice enough to bring us a couple of pops as a courtesy. I tried to shower and could not get the water to stay hot and trying to set it to a consistent temperature was impossible and mostly just freezing like the pool. The linens were itchy and I could not get comfortable to sleep. Ended up leaving at 10:30 for the three hour drive home! As much as Roger tried he could not make this stay better.

Always a delightful stay

My husband and I had a great stay. He loved the breakfast and enjoyed our view. Staff was excellent, room clean. Just was cold one night and should of asked for a heater or blanket. Would stay again, highly recommend if your in the area.

So old and run down. Wallpaper peeling off the walls in numerous areas. Patio doors won’t shut. Room filled with bugs. Lights don’t work. Dark carpet and walls. Depressing atmosphere. Tv didn’t work. 1 hanger. Poor man’s breakfast.

Everything was great, would stay again

Horrible experience. Room was filthy, very questionable if the sheets were even changed. Entire hotel is very dated and not well maintained.
