Lovely old hotel with plenty of character. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Front desk staff were nice. Suited my needs perfectly will go back.

Staff are excellent go above and beyond breakfast very tasty and no rush to finish parking could be better if people didn’t block the entrance room not the cleaners fault but there was a hole in the duvet cover and the net curtains were shabby

Our 3rd floor room was terrible. It was a warm night and the window only opened around 2 inches. Because the room was in the eves, the window side of the bed was almost inaccessible. The floor creaked with every step and the bathroom extractor was very noisy. The bed however was very comfortable. Breakfast quality was okay but all of the ‘hot’ items were barely warm and therefore disappointing. There was ample parking close by, well priced at £12 for 24hrs.

The property is in a great location , clean tidy , great price ! The staff was very helpful so it done everything we needed , I never tried the food but from what I seen it looked good , we would use the hotel again no problem.

Poor quality Twin Room, dreadful noise from the nightclub downstairs, but good breakfast in the morning.

This is not a complaint but I think the hotel should have air conditioning. As it was very hot in my room and in the corridors. There was a fan supplied. But I found the window quite difficult to open.

Very good value for money, cheap and cheerful really, but staff are great and very helpful. Breakfast is a fairly standard budget hotel offering but plenty of food, so no complaints

Room was cheap and near the train station so great location. The room itself was a bit run down and tired looking but can’t complain for the price I paid and I was only there for the night. Staff more friendly when I checked out than when I checked in.

Good choice of buffet breakfast, staff friendly. Room clean and adequate for our needs. Good central location.

Very well liocated from station and for locsl bars and shops. Spacious beautiful entrance on arrival. Parking just outside back of hotel , however a charge of £8 for psrking there. Very small bathroom with not much roon for own toiletries. Clean comfortable bed. Good breakfast which was included in our price. Our friends were asked if they would like an upgrade for £14. Which they accepted. However, they couldnt see very much difference from original room . Overall, a liovely hotel, very good location and would stay again.

The room I stayed in for the two nights I was there was lovely and clean the staff were alright aswell no complaints from me next time I visit Carlisle ill stay there again.

In need of re vamp Full modernisation required

Conveniently located opposite the railway station, I thought this was a decent budget hotel. It was an old building but the room was clean and spacious and pretty quiet (I did stay on a Wednesday night). Some cosmetic issues (like a crack in the sink basin) so the place could probably do with a lick of paint and some modernisation but other than that I thought it was absolutely fine for an overnight stay. However there appeared to be no lifts so not a good idea to stay here if you have mobility issues.

The staff and the management strive hard to provide an excellent service for all the guests. We have been to this hotel many times before and we were happy to return. Very centrally placed placed establishment, the main line train station is very closeby.

A very dated hotel in desperate need of modernisation. No AC, a 1960’s lift that doesn’t work, couldn’t get a second key for the room, the room itself was unbearably hot. I will definitely not be back. Dreadful.
