Friendly helpful staff Very clean room

Was a very last-minute booking due to other accommodation being cancelled at the last minute. All the staff were friendly, the room was delightful and nothing was too much trouble for the staff…especially loved the cute little balcony of our room!

This hotel is located in a very convenient location. The Staff is helpful. I believe that lack of a desk in the room is inconvenient for guests.

The hotel is full of character and history which is a good reason to stay here. However the rooms are very small and quite tired.

The staff are very nice and go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable. The setting is very grand and spacious. The rooms are quite small but very well appointed.

The staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The room was clean with lovely products. The hotel was very central for everything in Hobart. The docks, the Markets and shops. The hotel was presented beautifully with lots of old charm. We really enjoyed our stay..thank you.

Location is good. Close to all your Hobart experiences. My room was really noisy, I heard the music from reception and every time someone walked the hallway. If you stay there, ask for a room further away from reception and back of hallway. It's stairs all over so not suitable if you're not good with steps and stairs. Breakfast is poor, but breakfast staff is really friendly and helpful. Toilet paper holder kept falling down from the wall, and shower handle does not fit the holder on the wall. But maybe that's expected in an old building. If u was GM herre i would stay one night in each room myself to see what's need to be maintained.

From the moment I walked into the foyer to check-in, I received a warm welcome and clear instruction regarding their off-site car park facilities (very easy to navigate). This hotel oozes nostalgic charm with modern twists keeping it up to date with current times. The room was clean, with a well sized mini fridge, soft bedding for an easy nights sleep, and ample bathroom with all the expected quality soaps/moisturisers. The hotel is well positioned making anything in Hobart’s CBD only a short walk away. Definitely a place to consider for anyone travelling to Hobart/Tasmania.

It was such a shame as we were so looking forward to our stay as it was the end of my birthday weekend 😔 Room was very tired and needs love and a good dust. Just ambient light provided and so hard to apply make up. Bathroom was quite new and nice. Bar closed at 830 😔 The whole place is tired and so different to our visit 2 years ago.
