Very nice property. Dated…but it fits the older vibe of the neighbourhood as a Western University property. Friendly and courteous staff. Room was clean and exactly what we needed for a one night stay. Gym is dated…and kinda out of the way, but effective if you need to exercise. Would recommend Spencer especially if you’re visiting the university.

The proximity to Western U remains a distinct advantage of this property. I noted however that prices during this visit were closer to downtown hotels that have more up-to-date room amenities.

Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. TV remote was a challenge. Never figured out how to increase the volume. Food in the restaurant was really good, but the service wasn't great.

Very professional and helpful

I was in town for only 1 night for my daughter’s graduation and stayed here. I didn’t have the chance to really take advantage of any of the on site amenities but the staff was very pleasant, check in was seamless and the room was lovely. The grounds are beautiful as well.

Absolutely beautiful property. I stay here often. The front desk staff are friendly while staying professional. The restaurant is rather understaffed on a regular basis, so I would recommend never being in a hurry, but the food is always exceptional. The property is very scenic and relaxing, which is appreciated when we have to travel so often to London for medical appointments, and it's only a 6 minute drive to the hospital (St. Joseph's). I feel like the only thing missing is a pool set-up, or some type of spa offering.

The restaurant food was great.

I felt so refreshed after staying here! The room was lovely, breakfast was delicious, and the sprawling layout of the property (which has a very interesting history!) meant you got to see a lot of the grounds to get to your room. If walking is a barrier for you, this hotel may be challenging, as there are many long hallways needed to get to the rooms, but there is an elevator and it did seem easy to navigate by wheelchair or other mobility aid. Probably boring for young families but it had so much charm and history. It's a wonderful little hotel for adults!

Clean rooms, quiet, beautiful property.

A great choice for a short stay. Facilities are great, noting that it has all the hallmarks of a higher end academic conference centre. The grounds are magnificent, the historic building a treat and the location is superb. I would stay again for sure.

The breakfast that was offered was not worth the price and the staff that was serving breakfast was not the best.

The properties surrounding the hotel is a beautiful wooded land with lots of trees and birds singing. It was wonderful to wake up to that sound even though it’s a conference center. I didn’t hear a lot of noise and there was a conference going on. Breakfast was hearty and my choice of whatever I wanted to start the day. I would go back.
