Quite old, not polished or nice or looked after, some smells and dampness — and the cost was much too high given the return.

The room was not as expected. Mismatched tiles in the bathroom, very old and dated room. Looks to be all original and nothing like advertised on their website. Paid extra for a room with a view of the bridge and opera house (at the time of booking was not made aware there were ships docked every day so opera house would only be visible some time after 5pm each day). Was not made to feel welcome at check-in, only the basics were explained. Check out was very similar, was not asked about our stay at all.

Loved my stay here at the Rendezvous Sydney! The staff were so friendly and helpful through my check in, during my stay, and my check out. Honestly the room felt way larger than I originally anticipated and was spotlessly clean with all amenities functional and in good condition. The beds were so soft and the room's AC was a lifesaver from the heat outside. Due to the location of the hotel, there is also very little to no sound from any cars or the bustle of the city which lead to a good night's sleep. Located a stone's throw from the lovely restaurants and attractions of The Rocks, it's ideal for a nice Sydney trip. I will definitely be staying again to check out the rest of the amazing facilities tge Rendezvous has to offer!

Perfect location for cruise ship terminal

Overall the staff was fine & we were given a welcome bottle of sparkling wine. The hotel is located very close to restaurants, pubs, stores, the Harbour & public transportation in The Rocks historic area. We loved the large terrace with our 1 bedroom suite on the 6th floor; it had a lovely view of the Opera House & the Bridge (or a cruise ship docked at Circular Quay). The unfortunate incident that sort of created a less than fully positive stay was finding a huge cockroach at the closet door as I was going to bed at 10:30 pm on our last night. Totally freaked me out! My husband was trying to take care it then spotted another one under the bed. I immediately called the front desk & the night manager quickly moved us to another room. I was very grateful for her quick response & resolution because there was no way I could sleep in that bed. Overall a good experience with just that very unfortunate incident

Location was great. Short walk to Circular Quay. We stayed in the old section though which could do with a bit of TLC.

The hotel is a little run down but still decent. I liked the size of the room we had. The shower water temperature was finicky. The ac was nice and cold.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location for CIRCULAR harbour and the sights. Good cafes close by. Rooms good size, looking tired but clean and have everything you need.

The location was excellent! Lots of places to eat and enjoy the city. Maria at check-in and check-out was exceptional. She was professional and friendly. Thank You!

The Rendezvous Hotel is in the centre of The Rocks - a perfect location to explore historic Sydney. The staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Excellent beds. Thanks so much for a great visit.

This hotel was a sad completion of my 24 day trip. Bed was good, room decent but the air conditioner did not work! It was hot in Sydney those 2 nights and we could not sleep at all! The HVAC clanked all night and made it torturous nights. Please renovate this a/c or take the rendezvous name off of it! Hotel did offer a small refund of 80 bucks. But wish to get compensation from hotels.com Great location otherwise!

When we arrived at 8:30 am we did the pre check in at the reception. Very friendly man at the reception. We were told our room was not ready. Checkin was at 3:00 pm but we were informed if our room was ready early, they would contact us. We had been on an overnight flight, so we would have appreciated that. We went out to look around the city, and returned to the hotel at 2:20 pm, to be informed by a young lady that our room was still not ready. We waited in the lobby area, and at 3:05 pm we were still waiting. We went up to the reception at that time, and said we were ready to check in, and she handed us our keys. They could not have let us know at 3:00 pm that we could check in? Why let us just sit and wait? Not very good customer service for the rate we paid for. The room was dated, the carpet needed vacuuming, sparse furniture in the room. The view was lovely. We felt all we paid for was the view. We stored our luggage while we were out. Area was not secure with workmen also having access to this luggage room. Would have been nice to see our luggage in a locked secure area. Pool area was messy with work going on at the hotel, so to use the pool did not seem to be an option. Hot tub was drained empty. No restaurant available in the hotel. We checked out 17 hours later to catch a flight. The Rocks area was beautiful. Would stay somewhere else next time.
