7 months prior to our stay I rang to say that I am an ambulatory wheelchair user so could I be given a ground floor room and as close to reception as possible as my mobility is extremely poor. When we arrived the receptionist literally pointed down the road and said you cand drive down there and gave us room 123. We had a disabled bay so felt we should not move and struggled down there rather than get my wheelchair our luckily because the numbers started at 110 and the when we got to 120 there were 2 stairs (something I specifically asked not to have) and 3 more doors. By this time I was in a lot of pain and quite upset. This was a special weekend for us. Again I mentioned this on my call. We came to Tewkesbury to renew our wedding vows and celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary at The Gupshill Manor. The next morning things got worse as we walked down to reception and up some stairs and round towards the dining room encountering two more lots of stairs before a lovely member of staff told us that there was a door almost opposite the disabled bay where our car was parked meaning that I did not have to put myself through any of this walking. Why, when the receptionist was aware of my issues she only directed us to breakfast via the three lots of stairs. I spent a lot of my weekend in pain and even when we checked out and my husband mentioned this for the second time to the same receptionist there was no apology. Do TPH not consider its disabled patrons?

The hotel met expectations, lovely place to stay , very welcoming by the staff , great breakfasts

A lovely, quiet place and a great spot to relax. The hotel room and bathroom were clean, and the spa facilities were excellent. A big shout-out to Sam, who did my treatment—she was absolutely amazing and made the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside was that the walls were not very soundproof, so I could hear people walking around at night. Other than that, I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend it.

A quality hotel with great facilities including golf and a spa. The staff are exceptional and friendly and helpful. The food is first rate and the Indian executive chef delivers among the best curries I've ever had. The rest of the menu is pretty good as well.

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit Pool und Golfplatz. Es dauert ca. 25 Minuten, wenn man in die Altstadt laufen möchte. Unser Zimmer war recht klein und extrem heiß (Südwestseite bei Außentemperaturen von 35 Grad), da es keine Klimaanlage gibt. Die Fenster lassen sich nur kippen, nicht komplett öffnen. So konnten wir nicht gut schlafen. Wenigstens gab es einen Pool zum Abkühlen. Das Frühstücksangebot war gut, nur der Kaffee war schlecht. Geschmacklos wie braunes Wasser. Cappuccino oder Espresso muss man separat zahlen, was wir bei dem hohen Preis für das Frühstück nicht angemessen finden. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hauptgebäude hat uns gut gefallen, die Zimmer weniger. Sie sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt auch keinen Kühlschrank, in dem man sein Wasser hätte kühlen können.

The weather was exceptionally hot during our stay, the staff had closed the curtains on our room and had a fan running to try to keep the bedroom cool. All of the staff, without exception, were helpful, professional and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa facilities. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, curry was exceptionally good, only downside was that some items on the breakfast buffet were only lukewarm, not helped by only cold plates being available. I would have no hesitation recommending staying there if you are in the area.

All good, beautiful location

Had a lovely break - it was very hot and we were upgraded to a fab room with terrace and patio doors. We had dinner, bed and breakfast and everything was fantastic - will be returning. Thank you

As it was a heatwave we asked if the room had AC but were told we'd have to upgrade to a suite for it. We agreed at £279 extra (for 3 nights). The room was tiny, just enough width for a 5' bed and 2 small side cabinets. There was no chest of drawers and the wardrobe was full of ironing equip/hairdryer/safe. There was one wingback chair, for a suite you'd expect 2 or a couch to watch tv. What were we supposed to do, take it in turns to sit comfortably. The bathroom floor space only allowed for the opening of the door, all very tight - smaller than most bedrooms. The rest of the hotel was really nice and comfy. The food in the evening was good and the hotel is great for exploring the Malvern Hills and Wales.

Beautiful hotel, stunning location and super friendly staff. Resturant also lovely with beautiful views and the food was excellent.

Fantastic location with great staff

The room was somewhat clean but it really needs a modernisation. As soon as you entered the room, you’d get this old carpet smell that was unbearable. The bathroom was old and bath had many signs of black mould on the silicone and grouts. The sink tap leaked water. Breakfast was mediocre. We asked for a 4£ “specialty” flat white which we could tell right away was straight from a cheap coffee machine. Amenities were ok, the pool area is very tired as well. Receptionist couldn’t be bothered to give us any info when we enquired about EV charging. Overall not a great experience for the price

Fabulous stay .. lovely big bed and room. Spa facilities looked great but unfortunately we did not have time to use them. We had a delicious dinner and would have liked to have stayed longer. Peaceful calm surroundings even with the golfers playing.

I booked 3 rooms at the hotel, we had a room in the main part of the hotel, this was a very large room with a copper bath in the bedroom, this was very nice, the weather was very hot over the stay and the room had air conditioning and kept the room nice and cool, we also had a luxury double room with garden access, this was very nice with a canopy over the patio area that gave a bit of shade over looking the golf course, the 3rd room was a luxury double on the 2nd floor, there was no air conditioning and the window only opened slightly, the room was adequate for the 4 nights, however there is no fridge in any of the luxury rooms, what is a shame, we looked at the day time menu that is limited, we were told that there was food at the golf house (19th hole), we found something to have here, this was very limited, however we did turn up just before the club house was closing. The spa is nice, small and times are limited and not advertised very well, we went on Saturday evening for a late swim, but went Sunday evening at the same time to find the spa closed. Over all a very nice place to stay and would stay again.

Our expectations weren’t high because this hotel was so reasonably priced, but The Tewkesbury Lodge was a pleasant surprise—the most beautiful place, with spacious rooms, helpful, friendly staff and delicious food, both at breakfast and at night. We constantly marveled at the views and the beautiful gardens, as well as the perfectly maintained golf course. Only downside was no elevators and no air conditioning, so just fix that by asking for a ground floor room and a fan. Definitely will return. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Amazing place, comfy beds, great spa and golf club, beautiful surroundings, nice food and friendly, helpful staff.

What a great resort. Lovely clean environment with great views and friendly people who work there. We stayed in an opulant suite King Richard lll room on the top floor and it was such a lovely big room with all amenities you need. Big bath, his and hers vanity....double wetroom and all the tech I would need with usb ports in sockets. Bramley wash products and great big comfy bed with lovely comfy pillows. The views were amazing and setting. The breakfast is big and hearty and great selection from cooked to cereals and pastries and all you would need to start the day. The pool facilities are clean and well presented and the steam room is a nice temp then you can jump in a lovely jacuzzi. We ate in the restaurant one eve and and we had duck and goat curry which was ok. Thank you for a great stay. Xx

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. From helpful check in staff to brilliant waiting staff in the restaurant and the bar our stay was made very special. I would highly recommend this hotel.
