Very nice hotel in the centre of Chester. Great restaurant and a spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Only complaint was the show was a shower and tub combo which didn’t drain well and was not easy to shower in. I think that’s more of a cultural thing with the UK preference vs American. All in all this is the best hotel in Chester that I have stayed in (stayed in a lot over the years).

This is a hotel with great charm, history and a welcoming, classy atmosphere. The staff were all outstanding, warm, friendly, professional and keen to provide high standards of hospitality and service. Our room was well appointed, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect. Bar and restaurant extremely good. Only slight downside was that some aspects of the room would benefit from a refurb/refresh, a bit of investment needed. We would not hesitate to return, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to the day and evening bartenders, check in team, breakfast team, concierge and night manager (wish I’d got their names). Be careful re the carpark, register before you go to pay online as if you try to register after leaving you face a fine as we found to our cost. For us we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Chester now and look forward to our next visit.

Every aspect is well thought out. The welcome from the lovely man opening the door. Valet parking Smooth check in. Bags being taken to our rooms. Opulently decorated rooms. Definitely a 10/10

Excellent hotel - but what made it special was the staff - they are all so down to earth and extremely friendly… THIS is definitely what makes the hotel - we will be back again.

Great on all accounts appart from you were only served once at breakfast or at the bar. If you needed to sign for drinks or get more toast you had to go up to a member or staff otherwise you were ignored

It was a great stay at the Grosvenor. The staff were really excellent and looked after everything we needed. The room was incredible and we look forward to staying again.

Once again the staff and the hotel itself would exceeded anyones expectations From the reception staff to the kind porter who insisted on carrying our bags to our room to the room itself were fantastic. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Chester

We didn’t appreciate having to pay £100 upfront on arrival (that we weren’t told about) as a deposit which we would get back. I had already booked and paid for the room. There were small refreshments in the room - crisps, biscuits, chocolate etc but I didn’t realise at first that there was an expensive charge if you ate them. I would have thought they were complimentary and it didn’t seem welcoming. The room was below average. The bedside plugs didn’t work, there was a crack in sink, handles were falling off, windows did not open and were very dirty, the decor was tired. The bed was big, clean and comfortable. The room was quiet and warm. There was air conditioning. The staff were very good and professional. In particular, the man on the door was very friendly and helpful. The entrance and dining area was impressive. The location is excellent.

Overall experience was excellent. Staff friendly and breakfast lovely. Room was a bit tired looking but a very comfortable clean room. Look forward to our next stay with you.
