really friendly reception staff, room and spa area both really clean. Lovely quiet room, will definitely stay again

Excellent breakfast and breakfast staff!

This property is a gem! Incredibly convenient and comfortable for anyone visiting. We only stayed one night, but the staff was very helpful and nice. The beds are extremely comfortable and air conditioning was key to a very hot couple of days. The amenities are also wonderful.

Spa facilities are fantastic. We were staying the same time a s a big wedding party, and although we were on the second floor the dance music still came through loudly, ending at midnight.

Another contented stay. This hotel ticks so many boxes that my local friends recommend it to other visitors from out of town whom they lack the space to accommodate. Good quality food at breakfast and dinner, we haven't sampled lunch other than bar food. Would recommend as within reasonable walking distance of the town centre and quiet neighbourhood. Not "cheap" but a quality offering.

A bit downmarket and tired hotel. The desk staff were generally unfriendly but the bar staff were lovely making me a coffee very early in the morning. The parking is inconvienant being all the way around behind the hotel with no door through and you must pay separately from your hotel bill - not a huge amount but would expect free parking for guests at a hotel not in a city centre. Spa and pool closed at 8pm.

From arrival, the staff were not welcoming and made me feel as though I was an inconvenience rather than a guest. Throughout my stay, I found the service to be unfriendly and unhelpful. I was also disappointed that the gym and pool were only open for a limited period during the day. This is not practical for guests who are staying in town for work and are out during standard daytime hours. While the room itself was acceptable, there were several maintenance and convenience issues: - The shower appeared poorly maintained and flooded the bathroom every time it was used. - The TV reception was extremely poor, making it impossible to watch anything properly. - Parking arrangements were also frustrating, as it was actually cheaper to use the car park at the front of the building than the hotel’s own car park. Overall, the stay did not provide the standard of service or facilities I expected.

There was a wedding on , so couldn’t sit outside which was a shame, as air con in the bar was too cold. Didn’t stay and have another drink coz just too cold. Used spa Which was nice, but ladies changing rooms need more space and the floor needed to be cleaned more often. Minor point, but generally hotel nice

Very convenient for cente of Winchester. Nice Room and everything worked. Breakfast well done.

Everything about the hotel was right. Room, facilities, breakfast, staff. Only unfortunate was the AC was broken in my room. But staff provided a fan which helped to get a better night’s sleep. I have stayed there before and would stay again. Many thanks.

It is a nice hotel. Some Rooms are all over the place and we had a very long convoluted walk to ours involving lots of corridors and 2 different lifts. Just a bit odd. Pool is small but very clean. Not far to wall into town. Some nice cafes and restaurants at the hotel end of town.

On arrival first room the a/c was not working - moved to another room told the a/c would be set up before we returned from an evening out. On our return the second a/c was also not working and a fan had been set up in our room. Considering it was the hottest bank holiday ever we spent a very uncomfortable night in our room and was very relieved to leave early morning.

We stayed as a stop over for one night. We selected the hotel based on location and a lift as we had a heavy bag. When we’re arrived all parking was taken so we parked directly in front of the hotel and were told it was council owned and we needed to park and display - no help with finding the park pay area even though it was obvious we were travelling from overseas. It ended up costing us less than half of what the hotel charged. Despite wandering along many corridors I couldn’t find our room and had to go back to reception and ask for assistance. Turned out we had to go through four closed fire doors and down four steps to get to the room - some instructions at the beginning would have helped. Our room was very dark with limited light fittings and a double bed that was ok - hard pillows. We had dinner in the restaurant which was pleasant as well as breakfast.

The room was really nicely done and I appreciated the little extra touches like biscuits, hot chocolate sachets, and nice bramley toiletries. It was a bit dated in places (eg bathroom door chipped at the bottom, a couple of moths, and noise from other rooms using their water and walking upstairs). The staff were very friendly and attentive, making for a nice check in and check out experience. The pool, steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi were so lovely. It was a peaceful area that felt modern and clean. It was a little small so felt busy at times (eg waiting to use the jacuzzi) but was really great to have at this hotel. The rain shower in the bathroom was also really lovely. Breakfast was great with a really nice selection all round and full size pastries and pancake machine a real bonus!

Clean rooms, very central for the town. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Winchester. Breakfast was good and enjoyed the pool. Although please note children only allowed for 1 hour in the morning which was a bit of a disappointment.
