Well maintained complex, very calming atmosphere. Many group bookings. Friendly staff.

The Alexander was terrific, really a 5star place, amazing service, food, they really make you feel at home.

Hotel heeft een goede ligging, direct aan de boulevard, op loopafstand van de haven met winkels en restaurants en bushalte voor de deur. In het hotel zelf is alles erg goed geregeld en schoon. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt is fantastisch, uitgebreide keuze en erg lekker. Buffet in de avond ook goed eten, elke dag ander thema. Ga vooral een avond naar het Italiaanse restaurant Garibaldi, 7 gangen diner samengesteld door een Michelinsterren chef, daar zou je normaal de hoofdprijs voor betalen. De host daar is ook erg goed. Alle buitenruimtes zijn modern ingericht en erg goed, lekker bedjes, mooi zwembad, maar wel erg koud water in november. Ook goed binnenzwembad met gratis sauna en stoombad. Binnenruimtes en kamers daarentegen vond ik erg oudbollig ingericht, grootste deel gasten waren gepensioeneerde engelsen die zich daar vast helemaal in thuisvoelen. Ondanks dat zou ik zo weer teruggaan.

The pools were lovely . Walk in to town along the beach was great . Transportation by bus easy just outside the hotel . Would definitely say here again .

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We only had the breakfast included as we were there for a wedding and were offsite often. The pools, outdoor eating and drinking facilities, pool sunbeds and beach access were great. Breakfast was very good. We participated in some of the activities which were fun. Good location to walk to the harbor sites and restaurants/shopping. We took the bus just outside the hotel to go to tombs of kings, very convenient.

The facilities are just lovely and I really appreciated the wonderful customer service offered by the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating and I particularly appreciated all the thoughtful gestures shown to make us feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back again. :)

Great location with a short walk to the harbour area along a coastal promenade. The majority of staff were really nice. A big thank you to Nikki in Guest Relations for a warm welcome and friendly conversations during my stay. The breakfast staff were also great and attentive. The breakfast offering was brilliant and so varied, one of the best I have ever had. Also, many thanks to the team for making my birthday special, much appreciated! I treated myself to a 7 course meal at the Garibaldi restuarant which was delicious. I had to knock one star off as the bathroom was outdated and there was low water pressure. Housekeeping could also be improved. Overall, I had a great stay and would return again.

I spent 3 nights during the Easter holidays and really enjoyed my time. The location is excellent and is one of the closer hotels to the airport while being in the tourist area of the city. The rooms were clean and in good condition. The pools, the gym, the spa, and the restaurants, all were of top quality. They had events happening throughout the day to keep you engaged and entertained. Last but not the least, the staff were the friendliest I have seen in a while. Special mention for the guest relations team (and particularly Marta) for making sure that I am well taken care off.

The staff were very nice throughout the stay. The hotel is old, and the rooms look 30 years old, and not in a very well condition. The food was poor, we ordered the full board, and due to that we ate outside most of the meals. Even the food in the “gourmet” restaurant (which had amazing staff btw) was poor.

The room was not completely clean (hair in bathroom). I think the questions of the staff to national background of the guests not appropriate, especially asked repeatedly, after I clearly indicated no intention of answering it when asked the first time. At the breakfast tea and coffee is being served by the staff - it may take considerable time till someone comes, one time I just left, because I was done with my breakfast and tea was still not served (even after I asked for it). It might be OK if you are on vacation. I was on a business trio and could not wait indefinitely.

Ideal for short stay in a great location

Wir sind als Familie im Februar eine Woche zu Gast gewesen - in einer Familiensuite mit Meerblick. Die Zimmer mit Meerblick sind wirklich jeden Cent wert. Der Blick ist wundervoll und außer (beruhigendem) Meerrauschen ist es angenehm still. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und gut. Auch das interne Restaurant "Roxanne" mit täglich wechselndem Abendbuffet ist empfehlenswert. Was ich jedoch hervorheben möchte, ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals. So viel Herzlichkeit habe ich selten erlebt - gegenüber Kindern aber besonders auch gegenüber den zahlreichen älteren Gästen. Man fühlte sich wirklich ein bisschen wie "in einer großen Familie" ohne, dass es aufdringlich oder aufgesetzt wirkte - was bei einem Hotel dieser Größe doch selten ist.

This was a one night extension to a two night stay we'd initially booked. Our experience was so good the first night we added a night AND opted for the half board rate. The hotel itself is very nice, indoor & outdoor pools are great, location is wonderful: quick taxi from the airpot (OR if daytime, just hop the local bus!) GREAT walkway just outside that goes all along the waterfront right into the port area with the archaelogical site & cool cafes, shops. Breakfast was outstanding. Made to order ocffees, Eggs Benedict, omelettes etc were great, huge buffet choices. Dinner was the surprise! Held in a lovely restaurant across from where the breakfast buffet is done, it was buffet style but we were really surprised at how good every single dish we tried was - great value.
