We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Staff were so lovely and went above and beyond. Was made to feel special with celebrating 50th Birthday.

Very nice property.

Booked last minute at a great rate. It was good to be able to use the spa/pool in the late evening on arrival. Good travel links into York.

Was told we could Check in at 3 we was still waiting for our room to be cleaned at 10 past 3

Nice clean rooms

Nice stay over the bank holiday weekend. There was an issue with key cards but the reception were very helpful coming up to the room every single time we wanted to access the room for the first day. Pool facilities were great and very clean. Would recommend and would stay again.

My Mother and I have stayed before. We upgraded to a room with a balcony as we were there for a few nights. They can't do twins in these rooms, but the bed was a super king. It was spacious and clean. The bathroom had a bath and a shower. It was clean. The only thing that could have improved the room was a magnified mirror in the bathroom. We didn't eat in the hotel on this occasion.

Some parts of the hotel have had a face lift and look bery nice but other parts look patched up. For example showers with ruff sealant in, that are mouldy next to a brand new shower screen. Why not fix both at the same time? The water drained slow in the sink and the bath and the kettle looked like it had mould in it and a damaged strainer in the spout. It’s an expensive stay without the previous luxury feel the hotel once had. Cheap and shoddy fixes have ruined it for me. Would probably stay elsewhere next time. The leisure staff were not particularly welcoming either like it an inconvenience to have to let me in. The steam rooms didn’t feel clean and mouldy parts clearly not well maintained.

The room was so nice with the balcony overlooking the race course so nice, we had a lovely stay.

I booked this hotel a while ago and I then read the reviews and there were some which made me think about cancelling. However, I am glad I didn't. Nice, hotel and great customer service. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room available to use from 6am to 11pm which was great. The breakfast was good and being vegetarians the chef cooked vegan sausages for us. Location not too far from York city centre, we walked it there and caught a taxi back to the hotel and it cost £8.40 which was resonable.

Great location and friendly staff, good food will definitely be returning.

We had a great stay with our 5yo son. He adored the pool! Our room was large and had all we needed. The hotel is close to the city centre so a great location. Staff were super friendly. Bar food was good too
