Great location but hotel tired and in need of upgrade. Staff friendly and work hard but under staffed at breakfast. Booking in at to wait as no one at reception (4 in afternoon) breakfast on second day was a fiasco and people got up and walked out. I am afraid I won’t be returning as it stands

Lovely staff and food. Carpet in the main areas looks like it could do with being replaced. Walls were a little thin in our room, we could hear our neighbours coughing and talking.

Overall the stay was good, with just a couple of points that let it down. Breakfast on the first morning was quite disappointing in that we sat down and it was 35 minutes before our order was taken and another 20 minutes before it arrived. There were a number of vases of wilted/dead flowers around the rooms. Silly point, but the toilet roll holder was impossible to use without the roll coming off and shooting across the floor. Teapots need to be provided as standard at breakfast. The staff are very good and helpful. Ample parking and the grounds are well kept.

Everything about this property was BAD! Carpets filthy, furniture worn. Restaurant service and food terrible. Employees we less than interested.

Lovely staff, great food, no complaints at all. Suggestion, maybe change the radio channel in the breakfast room, it’s a bit drab. Put some music on in the bar, such a nice bar but very quiet without some background music. Maybe a few barstools too to break up the seating. Overall really enjoyed my few nights away!

We don't normally bother reviewing, but this stands out as a place we will talk about for years for how awful it was. We were disappointed from the moment we arrived. Don't be fooled by the peaceful pictures, there is a fast/busy road out the front. We chose this place because the website said it could accommodate dietary requests. We booked months ago and emailed at the time of the booking to say we were vegan. When we arrived, they had changed the menu the day before. 1 sad choice only meant that we would not be booking an evening table. We did have drinks on the patio area which smelt faintly of drains. In the room there was a red fingernail on the floor and, on unfolding the towel, brown stains. We would not normally bother to mention this. Next morning at breakfast we asked about soya milk/marg. The waitress said "has been popular" but came back empty handed. We could have vegan sausage, but otherwise the breakfast is not worth it, fo us (still no soya milk/marg on day 2). The waitress said there was a problem with our payment card (looking puzzled that *all* the expedia cards seemed not to work - which I now think is a ruse). Went back to the room to get the physical credit card, and then stupidly left the key in the room. Turns out, no spare. This is a duty of care for a hotel (what if customer collapsed in room, or there was a fire?). We spent 2+ hours waiting, just left abandoned to sit. Then they implied it was our fault they had no spare key. Fawlty Towers.

Beautiful hotel, rooms and breakfast freshly cooked. However, when arrived they hadn't got the booking through, which also caused an issue at breakfast time. We arrived at breakfast at peak time but they could do with more staff as it was chaotic. Had to wait 20 mins for them to take the order and no vegetarian sausages. Lovely location, and lots of car parking space.

Our room and bathroom were both clean and spacious. The bed was clean and comfortable . The bar area was a bit dark and shabby. Large stains on the carpet in garden restaurant. There was a lot of dust in the common areas. Food was a long time coming at breakfast (30-40 minutes) and it was average. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and friendly.

Evening meal a bit like faulty towers; eg, waiter knocked drink over & expected us to pay for replacement, (no, we didn’t). Large, dark stains on all carpets. Breakfast was a fiasco; had to request many essentials, eg teaspoon, tea pot, milk, tea bags, etc. The bar ran out of beer/lager every night. I could go on, but not enough space or time. Essentially I believe many faults were down to staff shortages.

Beautiful room on ground floor easy access very high standard

Good for a short stay, clean, tidy, big car park. Restaurant is OK, decent selection of evening meals, good bar. They need to keep the breakfast buffet stocked up - simple things like having enough coffee and milk. Staff pleasant and helpful. Decor is good and well maintained, this is not a scruffy place! However, in the room little things like floor tile grouting, bathroom door not closing properly, noise from the toilet cistern need attention. No air-con, but did have a fan in the room.

We had an early start and brekky was ready bang ontime, great Rm 8 bath hot water control jammed on hot so couldn't use so showered with a friend !

Great garden room, lovely friendly staff who couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely comfortable and clean rooms, and superb food in the restaurant. We have stayed here before and it’s a great base for exploring both the broads and the beautiful coastline. We will definitely stay again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely hotel Couldn't of been more accommodating. Katlyne was so helpful. Wish I had more time to stay there. Only one area was the heat in the hotel room and we were given fans to help cool us all down.

Hotel had plumbing issues and willing staff need direction. Under new management who are still trying to get to terms with the job. Its a shame because fundermentally it could be a great hotel.

Breakfast overpriced room not as clean as should be and in general.it was run down and needs decorating.
