Easy access to everything and staff very helpful.

We parked in the Fort Gary parade behind the hotel because the hotel lot was full. We wasted an hour trying to walk over without going outside There were no signs to advise that there was no access without a room key or any direction at all. The sidewalk outside was snow covered (not hotel property) but super inconvenient- should be able to cross over. The rooms were ok. Tried to order room service and had to call twice and wait 10 minutes to have them call back.

The bed is comfortable, the shower is great, and the fitness facility is next level. The hotel is historic and iconic.

The hotel charged me for my room even though I had already prepaid. I was joining a group the following day so I asked that my room be extended for one day as part of the group. I was assured that had happened. When I went the next morning to question why I was charged, I also learned that the extension was never applied for my room.

The most beautiful hotel in Winnipeg. Exceptional service from all of the staff members. Room service is always delicious and arrives in a timely manner.

The Fort Garry is a grand old hotel that takes you back in time. It is in the perfect location and the staff are excellent. We especially enjoyed spending time with Justin in the bar.

The room checked off all of our boxes. We quit enjoyed the comfortable bed and our privacy!

The Fort Garry is a luxurious hotel with extremely comfortable rooms (the beds are so comfortable!!) and beautiful interiors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the Oval Room offers excellent dining and drinks. It’s the perfect combination of old world elegance and modern comfort. Parking is easy (though extra) and the hotel is conveniently located to city sites and activities.

Always a delight!

Although listed as family friendly, it is not. There lists a pool, but it is very small and costs an extra $10. Kids would not enjoy this, and there are a lot of adult-friendly options, but not for kids. We had tremendously noisy neighbours who we reported several times with no resolution until about 3 am. This left us with two very sleep deprived parents who had to then drive 3 hours to get home safely. I realize that you’re at the mercy of who your neighbours are, but I think the hotel could have been more pro-active at shutting down our drunk neighbours. We really wanted a quiet, relaxing night away from home but left on an hour of sleep and frustrated.

Black carpet shows stains and the type of carpet used hung on to lint etc so the carpet did not look vacuumed. The elevator situation- one of two not working through the Xmas holidays. They have the bones for a great hotel but it is only at the cheap and cheerful stage.

Beautiful hotel. However walls between rooms seem not very soundproof, for what it’s worth.

guest services was very accomodating to our requests. Will definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately it was down to one elevator at the time of our stay but the staff and room were great!
