Bit tired to be honest, grubby dust everywhere in the rooms and bathroom stains Breakfast average for the price, coffee awful, toast not toasted For the price really not worth it in my opinion, Rub Room restaurant was the highlight food was great decor was tired, staff at the restaurant were great

Room clean staff good breakfast not to good never used spa but did do bowling so it was good to do something on the night time we stay 2 3 time a year and it’s still got our vote

We booked a treehouse for an overnight stay on 16 April 2026. prior to my daughter's wedding on 17th. We were allocated the Cuckoo lodge and sizewise it was perfect. My daughter and future husband and my two grandchildren took the studio side which had its own entrance and hot-tub but they also had access to the main unit where the remainder of the family were housed. This included a massive bathroom with double walk-in shower. It had its own access to separate terrace including the hot-tub. The main unit had a large ground floor living accommodation with a large outdoor terrace housing another hot-tub. Ground floor also led onto a very large bedroom suite with a walk-in shower and a separate large copper bathtub. It also had a large sofa bed. This bedroom housed my elder daughter and her four children more than comfortably. The wife and I shared the mezzanine bedroom overlooking the main living quarters. A blackout blind helped keep the room dark. We made use of 'The Pin' bar and restaurant along with the spa complex which is in the main hotel area. A golf-buggy ensured people got to these additions without any bother. The treehouse was a perfect start to a perfect day. It was clean, staff were attentive to the family needs and I would recommend it to anyone.

We did not go to breakfast as we slept too late and missed it. Gutted about that., but the lovely room cleaning staff gave us tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. We were delighted with them.

The room we were staying, the decor was tired - not worthy of a 4 star hotel unfortunately. Upon arrival, wardrobe door was hanging off hinges, the wifi receiver box was hanging of the wall - room was also very dark. Pointed out wardrobe door to concierge and they had it fixed the next day, but should have been done before guest arrival - tables in hallway tired and peeling off. The staff was friendly though, especially in the breakfast room. Breakfast had a good choice.

Comfortable spacious room. Friendly staff. Big comfortable hotel.

Breakfast was good. Rooms are poor quality, very old. Things broken in the rooms and nothing staff can do about it but say sorry. The spa is good but restricted to just one hour and also restricted to just the pool, can’t use the nice spa pool without paying another £70 per person per day so be aware of that. The hotel location is good, walkable to the park and ride and each to get into the centre etc.

The shower was the worst shower in a hotel I’ve ever had. Quite disappointed in this key function of a bathroom, whilst away from home. Would not look to book again

We booked a superior room having selected the hotel as a ‘pet friendly’ destination. However, on arrival it became clear that the hotel is (at best) pet ‘reluctantly accepted’. Pets are not allowed in any public rooms and only standard rooms are available for guests with pets. The standard room, was reasonably spacious with a large double bed and bath. However, there was no fridge in the room and only plastic tumblers provided but no glassware at all. The disappointing experience was alleviated by some wonderful staff who did their best to mitigate the problems to the best of their abilities. Since we were unable to take our breakfast in the dining room, as we were informed that unless caged our dog could not be left alone in the room, we offered breakfast in bed at no extra cost. Overall, despite the best efforts of the staff, the hotel can not reasonably be described as pet friendly and that is reflected in our overall rating.
