Starting with the good parts. The recepionist who was working on Thursday and Friday was very helpful. The bar and bar staff and drinks were wonderful. Pool area was clean. On my first night I paid €25 for the buffet dinner, a series of items that had been left out and had gone cold. I had cold wedges, cold pasta sauce and unidentified "bbq meat" followed by tasteless cake and ice cream in a plastic container. Even though I had already paid, the staff didn’t believe me and I had to explain twice and then go back to reception to double check. The restaurant staff didn’t come to see if I wanted a drink, I had to chase them around the restaurant for a menu then again to order. They walked past me several times. Zero service. I put my do not disturb sign on my bedroom. However on Friday amd Saturday the room attendant knocked my door like there was a fire until i got up from my lounger and answered her. I was indeed disturbed, and took myself to the beach to be able to relax. I asked reception to make sure she didn’t disturb me, and this seemed to make her behaviour worse. On my last day she banged on the door 45minutes before check out until I opened it and was yelling at me that check out was at 12 and clapping her hands at me. Very aggressive. I told reception upon check out and they said they would make sure I wasn't disturbed again. I had to laugh at this point. Don't stay here unless you want to feel like a number on a conveyor belt.

Beautiful located resort close to the ocean with a beautiful pool area. The bathrooms are ready for an overhaul. Excellent breakfast buffet.

The cleanliness was excellent and the food was amazing, the pool staff were entertaining and energetic the whole day. We didn't like the expensive parking 15€ per day and on the 2nd day we reported a faulty outside light, it wasn't fixed in our 2 weelswe

La ubicación del hotel frente a una playa y junto a un paraje natural. La habitación necesitaría un pequeño repaso y tal vez modernizar el baño pero el trato del persobal es lo que me lleva a pi Eglé un excelente. El desayuno y el servicio de habitaciones muy bien también.

The hotel is real nice overall. My bedroom was roomy, had a view of the pool, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The floor of the bathroom didn’t look very clean. It needs a deep cleaning and polishing. Towels saw better days, they have to be updated

Hemos pasado la Semana Santa, a pesar de no ser la época estival hemos estado tomando el sol en la piscina y disfrutando de las soleadas mañanas. Una buena estancia y un sitio muy bonito.

Loistava hotelli ja henkilökunta. Pikainen yhden yön reissu. Aamupala kuului huoneen hintaan ja pyysin etukäteen vegaanista vaihtoehtoa. Varmistin vielä sisäänkirjautuessa.Tätä ei oltu kuitenkaan huomioitu.

Beautiful beach

Molto bello, hotel enorme, con stanze ampie e calde. Ottima la colazione, veramente di qualità superiore. Comodo alla spiaggia e a15 minuti da Huelva in macchina

La habitación se limpiaba poco, hacían la cama, cambiaban toallas pero el suelo no lo limpiaron en los 4 días que estuvimos.

This is our second stay at a Barcelò hotel and a second excellent trip. We had an excellent stay at the Umbria Mar! The view from our terrace was an outstanding see view with plenty of space to move around. Although the bathroom area could be updated, the whole room was very spacious and the bed incredibly comfortable. All the amenities were spot on with a good size swimming pool, the most number of sunbeds I have ever seen at an hotel and the staff were incredible. Plenty of entertainment without it being pushy or over the top. As this is predominately a Spanish clientele hotel, it was very chilled out, a lot of talking and no loutish behaviour. We received a fantastic surprise from the hotel, with a birthday cake for my partner left in our room and a happy birthday message by email. Great touch and very much appreciated. Will be returning again as we loved staying here so much.
