We had a power outage the night we checked in. Thus, there was no breakfast in the morning. At 3 pm when we returned to the hotel there was still no power. The receptionist at the front desk asked us to wait until 5 pm to see if the power would be back on. Otherwise, she said she would give our money back and we could look for another hotel. Just before 5 pm, the power went back on. We did not change hotel. Breakfast was good. The service was also good.

The property was not looked after and no signs of trying to improve, No elevator to second floor. No luggage carriers from car to suite. The parking lot and parking spaces were a disgrace. I'm surprised the Howard Johnson would attach their name to the hotel.

The staff was excellent. They helped us with a room on the ground floor as we had one individual with mobility issues that would have found it very difficult to get onto the second floor. The breakfast was excellent with full service.

Actual breakfast was definitely nice to have, and while staff were pleasant, I had to complain about noise on 2 of the 4 nights I was there, with one being a disturbance our neighbor threatened to call police for, and felt pretty brushed off when I mentioned it. Then on last day they sent me a text to check out online which I did, setting my checkout time for 11 am, so I was definitely not impressed to have housekeeping try to let themselves in just before 10 while I was fully undressed, where I actually had to bolt and close the door in their face. Then had front desk call me saying they thought there was something wrong with my door and thought I was locked in? So they clearly either don't even check these things they send out asking you to check out that way or they are terrible at communicating with other staff, but regardless it definitely wasn't the best experience.

It was a good stay especially the breakfast and location. Cons will be the parking lot. It’s free but a lot of cars parked there are not even hotel customers they are the sports bar customers. Friday and Saturday nights were packed with cars and noisy, drunk people. Overall it was alright.

Very friendly service at check-in. The front desk staff were very caring. They checked in on every guest to ensure that they are comfortable and had no issue. They provided website links for all guests to use if they needed assistance. Breakfast was the best of all the other hotels I stayed at during my trip. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel have to pick up the room phone and breakfast is delivered to my room. I have to give a special word of thanks for the staffs at this hotel. Your service was second to none. I wish to invite other travelers to please experience the friendly service at this hotel. I will never hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Clean, shockingly good breakfast, very helpful staff. This is now my new go-to hotel in Winnipeg.
