Stunning hotel and very quirky. A real find, so close to everything. I can’t believe I never knew about it. Will always stay here know when I visit home. Everything about the stay was great but the breakfast is highly recommended!!!

My room was incredibly noisy all night long. I had a terrible night sleep as a result. I would not recommend this hotel for business stay as a result.

Lovely bedroom! Really comfy and a superb shower. On the minus side: we went to get a drink at the bar, but the table was sticky. We had to ask for the table to be cleaned.

Cool room, well equipped…breakfast was awesome…Andrea at the reception area made our visit outstanding…she is professional, warm and welcoming. ..li would recommend this as a great stay in Manchester.

Fabulous solo trip to the city. All staff made me feel so welcome and the room was comfy and clean. Location is fantastic with all popular parts of the city centre cocooning the hotel

Great location, good vibe, amazing breakfast

The standard room was fine, the only thing was that the shower wasn't very clean. There was a lot of black build up in the shower head, which was off putting. However, for the price the rest of the room was fine. There also was only one working elevator so there was often a long wait for that.

The room we stayed was great, it was clean and it was a great bright and open room. Will stay here again for sure.

Extremely disappointed with the overall quality of the room. The room was a classic and had a number of stains all over the carpet, stains and marks all over the walls. In addition to this the sink was heavily cracked in the bathroom and we felt it was not very well maintained. Furthermore the desk was damaged and aesthetically look horrendous. This is a massive disappointment as it was for a special occasion and we left feeling that we will not be staying in The Alan again. I am more than willing to discuss this with the hotel chain at a higher level.

Trendy & central, very convenient for all things needed in Manchester

The entrance area is nice and modern and impressive. However the rooms are very dated, they are desperate for a bit of a glow up. One socket on one side of the bed and nothing on the other. Bathroom was clean but again needs some TLC. it’s a shame as it’s a lovely building but there is better in Manchester for the same money

They were over booked and we got upgraded to the signature room that was very nice of them . Tried to book for another night but sold out very popular hotel . Will be coming back again

Really good value for money! Close to city centre and good quality room with complimentary things e.g. tea, coffee, fridge, iron etc…
