Beautiful old main building and well constructed new wing that blended seamlessly with the old main Hall. However, due to the layout and lack of lifts it meant a really long walk from our room to the main reception area. The Hotel seemed to have a lack of staff - the very nice mature lady at reception, was multitasking and ended up carrying our bags up to the room. This staff shortage manifested itself later when we went to have dinner - to be told that the gas was off in the kitchen and therefore they could only serve cold food. A complaint - but not necessarily to the limited staff, was to the guests that stubbed their cigarette butts out on the lawn by the outside terrace - unacceptable behaviour. All in all - beautiful location but only an acceptable level of service and facilities - the public rooms were dated and more resembled the local golf club. It could be so much better.

We have just returned from a fantastic 3-day stay at the New Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, the entire experience was thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel itself is excellent steeped in history, beautifully maintained, and full of character. Our room was incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. What truly sets New Hall apart, however, is the staff. Every single team member we encountered was warm, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Breakfast each morning was also very good, with a great selection of high-quality options to start the day right. Whether you are visiting the area for business, exploring the local sights, or simply looking for a peaceful, relaxing break to unwind, this hotel is the perfect choice. We would recommend it to anyone and will definitely be returning!

Stains on the carpet. Extractor fan in the bathroom not working. A wet room for showering meant that the water sprayed over the rest of the room and around the toilet, not very nice if the toilet was wanted later. We were there at a very cold time and the heating in the room was switched off about 6 every evening so we had to go to reception and ask for it to be switched on again every evening.

A 4* hotel but a beautiful one with staff that are clearly very proud to work there and want to provide excellent, personal service. A very good hotel at a reasonable price. Will definitely stay again!

Everything was exceptional. The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were gorgeous. The food was great. But I cannot say anything better about that staff. They were absolutely lovely.

Gorgeous property, incredible old building and lovely grounds - the bar leads out to a garden where we enjoyed beers and great food, and the kids played hide n seek amongst the impressive topiary. Pool/ steam room etc was lovely and not too busy - heads up that if you have kids, even biggish ones, there are kid-free pool hours (from 5 I think) so if you arrive later in the evening you may not get them in. But the staff were very friendly and accommodating and let my tired kids in for a bit after this slot. Only downside to this place was not enough sound-proofing - I was woken up at 5 by the kid on the floor above running around. I would be understanding in an old building but we were in the newer section. So maybe request an upper room!

We have loved our time at New Hall Hotel. The place is beautiful. We end up visiting again within rhe same week it was so nice. Whenever we come to the west Midlands this is where we stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, the food is lovely and a nice selection. Everyone speaks to you and makes you feel welcome. Next time we will try the spa.

What a beautiful oasis...set in peaceful pretty surroundings. The spa was fantastic,dinner was amazing and the breakfast ..out of this world. The staff so polite and helpful. Il be back..just what I needed.

There was hair in the bath so I couldn’t have a shower but my partner still had a shower and then we checked out around 3 instead of the actual time which was 11 the stafff was amazing very welcoming I would like to come again but I hope the room will be more clean when visiting as I did enjoy the pool and the garden
