Lovely staff as always. A few issues in our rooms (tv remote missing, wall lamp not working). Good breakfast, fresh and tasty. Excellent bar menu, very good smoked salmon sandwiches!

Hotel was spotlessly clean, and in a greatly great location. Parking was ok, they have a small carpark, which they made very clear before coming, but a lot of gusts arrive by other means. The food was really good, and staff very helpful. The reception was always very busy, they seem to put a lot on the team there. The steam room and sauna were not working and pool was tiny, incredibly busy, and a little dirty.

Clean hotel, decent facilities, pool nice and warm, usually you can find parking outside unless it’s peak season. But scored down because they had no vegetarian sasuages despite us mentioning when we checked in. This is unforgivable in this day and age as there was no alternative and a lack of initiative to solve the issue eg go to the local coop and get some. Not very inclusive…

Clean room, spacious. Some bits could be done with a refresh, however we had a lovely stay. Pool was clean, our family had a lovely stay. Stay were friendly too.

Staff are very helpful; the hotel is old and needs more cleaning, which would be nice and refreshing.

Very handy if you use the local bus service to get you anywhere around the area & shopping town ..

Location good, unless difficulty walking as it’s quite a steep walk from the town/beach back. Small payable car park. Although the rooms have more up to date furniture the rooms and buildings are looking quite tired and in need of decorating. The pool area is small so can get very busy.

Fantastic hotel

This is deservedly a 4 star hotel. Almost everything rings quality. The food is of high quality, that is breakfast and dinner. The staf go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. It was just the outside appearance. All painted surfaces need urgent treatment. A great stay. May well go there again!

Food very Nice !!

The towel radiator rails were rusty and leaking in both rooms. We were in 100 and 101 in basement. Mould in showers. Pump hand soap in bathroom would be better than bars. Rooms were cold took ages to heat up with the a/c machine. Marks on the velvet bed looks like sick down the sides. No bed guards at hotel and children on single beds and not even against a wall with a radiator next to them although they didn’t seem to work. Swimming pool is tiny and only suitable for a couple of people at a time. Breakfast was average basic tea and coffee no machines with choice. Pictures definitely make it look better than it is.

Hotel and room clean. Bathroom in room was very compact and there was a bit of a smell most likely from the drain. Bed mattress was not firm and seemed to bend in middle when you sat or slept on it. You get one small round soap bar that does not last and they don’t replace it. AC in room is supposed to provide heat but it is temperamental and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. If you leave it on long enough it does warm up the room. Room was a double but it was pretty company. Essentially it is an old building that has been refurbished to make it a hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Did not try breakfast/bar/gym/pool. Hotel is supposedly a 4 star but to me it is definitely a 3 star and not sure how it can be classed as 4 star. Worth a stay if you are in for a night or two but don’t expect quality of 4 star.

The pool area is tiny, sauna and steam room not working. Single room the smallest I’ve ever stayed in and the worst nights sleep. Overall I would not recommend, definitely NOT a 4 star!

The staff was nice . The room was clean but no hooks for clothes and no hooks for towels in the bathroom ! The swimming pool was very small and we could not use it because was too busy . Breakfast was nice except the coffee .

Dogs allowed (would not call it particularly dog "friendly"). Great location close to town and the beach. Superior room was large, quiet and comfy bed.
