Needs major improvements in several areas, especially considering it’s rated as a 4 star. When reality would disagree, It’s not a 4 star at all.

Lift was very small for double buggy

Very nice place to stay! Close to the town centre (10 mins walk), friendly staff and clean spacious rooms. They have a luggage room as well for anyone wishing to store their luggage before/after check-in/checkout-out.

The stay at Durley was fine . It would be great if you could have more parking space for the cars. The rooms were very comfy and the air con was a plus.

it was fine. nothing massively special but I didnt expect that either. The room was decent and had aircon. reception staff were kind. I dont like that I had to provide my driving licence on check-in. I don't usually at hotels but it was lucky I had it with me as I dont usually.

Parking available but this was an additional £15 Bathroom very tired Air con good. No chocolate on the pillow but a small bar of soap!!

Have had a lovely short break staying at hotel Staff were excellent and very helpful. Food both breakfast and evening meal was hot and even happy to cook us some poached eggs for breakfast which was appreciated. Bedroom was clean and tidy and enjoyed the air con in room. Hotel is tired and dated and could do with a refurb but happy to stay again which will do very soon. Thank you to all the hotel staff for making our stay enjoyable

Smart hotel, with a great restaurant area, which delivered tasty food. In a good location with nice staff.

Charming hotel and room, newly remade bathroom, good water pressure and air condition. Breakfast opened later than promissed one of the days and on another day there wasn't any coffee for breakfast.

The bonus of Air conditioning was amazing after record temperatures. Staff really lovely.

Great location, very nice and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit outdated but it was great for our stay as a family of 4 for a short break. I would use it again. The common areas might benefit from a deep clean but the room was clean. Breakfast was quite basic but fresh. I would add non-diary milk options.

The staff were less than helpful or friendly, they seemed interested at check-in and bit short about parking fees

Feels like entering council estate.. the only good thing was- breakfast (considering price of hotel).

Be prepared to park your car 1/2 mile away. Took me half an hr this morning to then walk to car, find a space closer to hotel to then carry luggage to car

I wish I had read more detailed reviews before booking this hotel. In my opinion, it is a very simple hotel and does not justify the price. The only positive point is the beach access, with stairs leading directly to the beach. The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna, but the pool did not appear to be cleaned daily. There was visible hair and dirt floating on the surface. I got in, noticed it, and left immediately. The rooms are disappointing for a four-star hotel. There is no minibar or safe, and the room is very small, especially the bathroom. The shower area is tiny, the water takes a long time to get warm, and our shower door was broken, causing water to spread across the bathroom floor. Cleanliness was also an issue. There were visible spider webs on the ceiling and on the lamps above the bed. Breakfast is very basic and not worth the £16 per person. The options were limited to bread, cereals, eggs, and sausages, with very little variety. The biggest problem was parking. The hotel does not offer free parking, and the paid spaces are very limited. We spent around 40 minutes looking for a place to park and eventually had to leave the car elsewhere and walk about 12 minutes carrying heavy luggage and beach equipment. Overall, I would not stay here again and do not think the hotel offers value for the price charged.

Bar was average

Although on arrival the rooms were clean. They allocated one room in the loft and my friend who is 4ft 10 ins banged her head twice as the ceiling was very low. They did allocate another room. Rooms were very small. We did not want them to change the sheets or bath towels but they did not do the bed properly. Everything else was acceptable. Staff in reception were helpful. Wish the food was slightly cheaper, very expensive breakfast. A full english breakfast with fruits. Juices, cereals, assorted breads and croissants were 11 pounds per head in premier inn which was very enjoyable.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The hotel is very dated and needs a lot of maintenance. I'm not sure it quite meets the criteria for 4* because of this. The pool was really warm but it is very small. The steam room was out of order during our stay which is a shame, the sauna and pool were the only part that was well maintained. I didn't use the small gym. Our room needed a lot of work, the window frame was rotten and the glass was rattling around, the sealant around the bathroom was coming off and the bath panel starting to disintegrate at the bottom. The room was however, very clean with a comfortable bed.

Been going to Bournemouth for years and this is first time staying here. Really friendly reception staff on arrival.The rooms are spacious and clean.Good bar area and breakfast room was really nice. Probably the best breakfast ive had at a Bournemouth hotel. Would recommend.
