On the plus side, this hotel has been refurbished in a modern style and is reasonably well equipped, although it lacks a bar or restaurant. However, the area around there is very well served by restaurants, cafés and bars and the hotel is directly in front of the casino and gardens, and so is excellently located. Additionally, the hotel has a lower level open air car park secured by a gate that you access with a code. What lets this hotel down mainly is the pool quality of staff at the reception. It wasn’t clear whether they were poorly trained or just didn’t care but the service that they offered was very poor. For instance, the instructions on how to utilise the electronic safe in the room was inadequate. When I asked the reception staff for help the only response I got was that they didn’t know what to do either as the safes were relatively new. That’s really not an excuse! Also, although the room was equipped with cups and a kettle, pods were required and had to be paid for, with a dispenser machine located in reception. However, when I asked them to break a €10 note so I could get change for the machine, unbelievably they said they didn’t have any change. It’s things like this, and the absence of any towel hooks in the bathroom or any kind of entrance to the lower level car park (you have to walk around the building and go through the gate like the cars do) the stops this being what I would rate to be a good hotel. These things are easily remedied but I haven’t been

Hotel super confortável , bem limpo, quarto grande, banheiro grande. Otima localização, no Estoril Estacionamento grátis na frente do hotel e também tem garagem no subsolo. Ótimo preço e ótimo custo benefício Voltaremos com certeza

Service war hervorragend,es wurde jeden Tag aufgeräumt,Betten gemacht, Handtücher gewechselt.Das einzige dass uns gestört hat waren die Türen im Bad sowie an den Kleiderschränken,diese waren verzogen und dem entsprechend die Funktion schwierig und das hat man ständig gehört,wenn man es zu machen müsste, sogar aus Zimmern neben an.

The shower stall was utterly ridiculous!!! Narrow that I could barely get in or out (room 213) totally unusable glad to send you a pic. Another frustrating item was the parking structure I had to help 3 people park their cars . Will not stay again at this place.

Hotel Alvorada, o meu Hotel preferido.

Fomos alocados num quarto sem sacada, ao final do corredor, com um banheiro super apertado e onde escutavamos o som de água escorrendo e pingando. Deppis verifiquei que tinham varios quartos vazios no mesmo andar. As seis e meia da tarde solicitei uma faca e um colher e me disseram que não podiam pegar porque já não tinham mais acesso a cozinha do hotel. Já estive algumas vezes no Hotel Alvorada mas desta vez foi muito decepcionante.

Very clean and very comfortable. Very good location right next to one of the biggest Casinos in Europe and close to amenities and the beach. Some noisy neighbours in the next rooms, but nothing too serious.

Óptima localização. Embora a decoração/infraestrutura esteja desactualizada o espaço é amplo e confortável. Especial atenção às senhoras da limpeza, óptima atenção e cuidado, além de muito simpáticas e prestativas.

breakfast buffet is very good, sausage, bread are delicious, parking is convenient. Good location, walk to ocean. The staff is friendly, provided early check-in for us. The only thing I don't like is no electric kettle provided.

We love, love, love this hotel. The views, from the balcony, of the casino, park, ocean, and sunrise (or sunset) are absolutely lovely from the third or fourth floors. We find the rooms to be spacious, and the location handy. It is a lovely 20-min stroll, along the boardwalk, to Cascais. We find the rooms to be spacious and well-maintained, and the staff willing to help. We will be back (again)...

A great location as we were attending a wedding. Decor needs updating but the hotel was absolutely fine for our stay. Breakfast was nice too.

Dreieinhalb Sterne Bewertung wären akkurater. Das Personal ist freundlich, Frühstück ist gut und günstig. Die Infrastruktur ist aber schon in die Jahre gekommen. Türen sind sehr alt und knarzen. Der Wasserhahn hatte sich gelöst und hing nur so über dem Becken vor sich hin.

Staff was fabtastic

Great location, very helpful staff. The hotel rooms are very old and not well maintained. Cleanliness was poor, bathroom plug holes full of hair and water wasnt draining through. The bathroom door was dirty and had hairs all over it. Not the best hotel for the price. Find an alternative if you can.
